Vols boosting Ticket Sales ...Jacksonville.com

The last three Gator Bowls have been poorly-attended; Kentucky v Ga Tech drew 43k, Miss State v Louisville drew 41k and last year TexAM v NC State only drew 38k, which was the weakest attendance for a Gator Bowl game since pre-1950’s. The 2015 game featuring Tennessee v Iowa drew 56k. So I know the Gator Bowl and the city of Jacksonville is glad to have Tennessee back.

I noticed a few changes this go around for the gator bowl. Last time the Vols was playing in this bowl all the festivities was at Jacksonville Landing. I thought it was a great location with plenty to do like shopping, eating and having a few drinks and it was right on the water. I know the venue changed due to the Landing being demolished but can someone explain to me what happened to it though?

The plans aren't finalized, but it's gonna be a park or new apartments. The owner of the mall and the city had an ongoing legal battle, that's why some stores stuck around. But it's completely empty now.

Last time VOLS played in Gator Bowl, they ran out of beer !!!!!!!!! Hope they have plenty of Miller Lite... In Tampa for Outback Bowl, my hotel ran out of beer after game so I drank some whiskey to celebrate nice win .....
The Outback Bowl vs Northwestern was ridiculous. They ran out of food, cokes, and water before halftime. Now they had plenty of beer so I was fine. I did miss 90% of the 3rd quarter waiting in line to get a warm bottle of water off a pallet for my kids and a hotdog (with no bun). They kept saying “we didn’t expect this big of a crowd”. Well how many tickets did you sell DA...🤔😂

There are thousands of tickets available out there through various outlets, it will not be a tough ticket to buy on the streets the day of the game.
Are you saying there won't be a big crowd and there is no need to buy tickets early to insure a good seat, just wait until the last minute?

There will be a good crowd but you will be able to get lower level seats for probably $50, even less if you're patient. It's not for everybody but it's the way I've always done it. I usually only have to buy 2 together so that makes it an easier negotiating.
