SI.com;s Grant Wahl picked UT as one of eight teams he thinks could take the NCAA Championship this year.

i really doubt that Tennessee can win it all this year. We need a tru big man in the post.

I would say pearl will win one in a few years.....

I like that the Vols are getting some pop though

Feels pretty good to be in the same group as Arizona, Kansas, Florida, North Carolina, UCLA, and Wisconsin.

It is nice to have something to watch between football seasons. I have followed the women in the past but it is great not to be an SEC doormat on the men's side.

Dick Bennett was one of my all time favorite coaches. His son is doing an outstanding job. That said, Washington State has the same chance of winning the NCAA tournament that Bearden Middle School does.

On Cold Pizza this morning Pat Forde named Tennessee as a possible school that could hold the Football and Basketball National Championships at the same time like Florida.

On ESPN today, they were doin a segment on what Colleges could do what Florida did, win the football and basketball national championships in the future. I think it was Pat Forde and he gave 3 schools, Texas, Ohio State, and Tennessee. THey said that Tenessee has a big enough fan base and that football is always usually good and basketball is on the rise with Coach Pearl.

That thought gives me goosebumps. But best not to even think about that right now. I'd be happy if we got into the NCAA tourney.

At this point I am happy if we make it to the NCAA Tourney two years in a row. However, this year I can see UT making a deep run but not quite ready for the championship. Within the next two years Pearl will have them in the Championship game.
