Would you all like to get together for the kickoff game on Aug 31. Would love to kickoff the season with a group of my closest friends.

Not in Seattle but if you are ever in KTown I'm sure many of us would get up with you to watch a game with an Airman. Hell, I will...

Last year there was an alumni group that would get together at Buckley's in Belltown for games. I'm not sure if they are still meeting up or not.

Just got out of the Navy last year, and I'm still in the Bremerton area, but I'm trying to fly back and watch the game in person this year. Last game I got to go see was the TN/CAL rematch game in California. We didn't fair too well that time, so I'm hoping for a better outcome this go around.

I saw a game last year with the alumni group. They usually see games at Spitfire which is a decent place to catch a game. As it gets closer, we should see what they are doing and either attend with or go do our own thing. I'm surprised that there are 4-5 of us.

I'm in Seattle but going to be out of town that weekend. I'll be around the rest of the season for the most part. I've heard the Spitfire is the place as well.

That sounds good guys. I think getting together at the Spitfire sounds good and we should definitely get together for Florida.

Take the train on down to Portland and I will meet you at a pub to watch the games. Also, I'd buy you a pint or three to thank you for your service. No homo (had to say that otherwise people around here will think otherwise).

Sounds awesome and I know exactly what you mean.

To anyone who might still be following this thread, I just got this email from the local alumni group-

Greetings y'all!

It's just about football time in Tennessee and we have set our plans for viewing for this season. In spite of how well Spitfire treated us last year, we've decided to move to a more kid-friendly location to get our attendance numbers up. We'll be going back to Jillian's in South Lake Union (731 Westlake Ave N) this year to watch our game. They even offer free game cards to keep kids entertained if you haven't fully indoctrinated them into UT football yet. Travis, can you update the website to reflect Jillian's as our location this year? Thank you.

The first game is next Friday the 31st at 4:30 against NC State. If you could respond to me by Tuesday if you know you're coming that would be really helpful. No obligation, but the bigger and more reliable numbers I can give Jillian's the better seating we will probably get when we are overlapping with some of the other alumni groups that go there. Not an issue this week, but I thought I'd encourage people to get into the habit. I will be getting there 30 minutes prior to kickoff.

For those of you coming to the event with UTC at Dick's on Sunday I look forward to seeing you there, and if you know anyone in the area that I'm missing on this list please let me know.

Go Vols!

Bump... I just moved up here from Knoxville. The Tennessee watch parties thread in the football forum got me thinking so I googled Vols in Seattle and this is all I can find. Any alumni getting together to watch the games this year?
