No excuse Butch needs to be on the hot seat for being 3-5 with a team of freshmen and sophomores. Just kidding but this will be a lot of the post on here

I don't think so at all but he doesn't get pats on the back for only beating lesser OOC and FCS foes either does he? As so many have said the season starts now.

I don't know how much longer I can take all this stupidity before I snap. Everywhere I look it's fire Butch this and fire Butch that. This disease doesn't discriminate as I've heard the sentiment from my pastor, the janitor at work, my doctor, and most notably the little man living inside my head.

#1 strength of schedule, starting LT hurt in 1st game, highly touted JUCO O-lineman turns up out of shape, 3 TRUE freshman on the O-line, 23 true freshmen in the 2-deep.....

...and we're 3-5.....yep, just where we should be.

Has any coach besides Butch played the number 1 SoS in his first 18 games at a new gig in the history of college football?

Good, so we are all in agreement.

That's a pretty tough question to answer because there are so many moving parts. This season isn't over, yet. UT won't wind up with the #1 schedule, most likely Auburn will because they still play Ole Miss, aTm, and Bama. Plus their win over K State now looks better than our loss to OU.

Don't get me wrong, you could put UT's, UF's, or Aub's schedule in a hat and draw one. Any of those would have a coach reaching for the Tums.

No. But people don't want to know all the factors involved as that causes common sense and rational thinking to come about and this generation is sans both.

I don't think most people are looking at the OU, UGA, Ole Miss, and Bama losses. The loss that has people scratching their head is the UF loss. UT should be 4-4 right now.

Go back to the preseason predictions on here, many posters thought UT would/could beat UGA and Ole Miss. Well, UT did almost pull it out in Athens. But what about Ole Miss. Did they all of a sudden become great?

Preseason, I didn't think UT would win any road games this season (except Vandy) for the mere fact of look at the road games: OU, UGA, Ole Miss, & S. Carolina. That's a pretty tough line-up. I thought UT would lose to Bama.

For me, the season hinged on the UF and Mizzou games and I predicted 7-5.

We won't end up with number 1 SoS. But there isn't any argument that weve been put to the test over the last season and a half.

Oh, no doubt. But you'll see similar SOS's for several SEC schools. UT isn't unique in this. Ole Miss comes to mind. Their SOS for the lat 18 games probably is equal to UT.

I wonder if their SoS was similar in Freeze's first 18 games? Like you said earlier, hard to research.

No wonder our strength of schedule is #1....we're so bad that everybody we play is ranked higher than us!
If we go 5-7,people will be saying "we have the #1 strength of schedule and we play in the SEC! :)
