On paper, UGA, UF, LSU and AU should all be better teams.
The Vols are in big trouble this year. Last year was one of the luckiest seasons I've ever seen an SEC team have. How many times did the vols get outplayed only to catch some big breaks and win? South Carolina absolutely dominated that game, but the Vols lucked out on the missed field goal. Vandy should have beaten the vols. That Kentucky game could have gone either way. The games against Florida and Bama showed what a horrendus defense the Vols had last year. This year the vols will go 4-4 in the conference with losses to Florida, Georgia, Auburn, and South Carolina.
UGA just lost their best OL from an OL that lacked experienced depth. They'll probably play true Fr again this year. The Vols return 3 WR's with better production than UGA's best returning WR. Foster wasn't too far behind Moreno in spite of playing in a pass first O. UGA's D was better last year and but lost a quality DB, an LB, and a couple of DL's.
LSU has a ton of athletes but they lost their best football player, Dorsey, and don't have an SEC caliber QB... though he might not have to be most of the time.
UF is a deeper team but they have problems similar to UT's on the DL and are hurting in the secondary.
Auburn? Simply put- Nope. They don't return better players and have yet to name a starting QB, right? In a thin secondary, they just lost a guy who probably had the most experience and talent.
It would be more accurate to say that "in" the paper"s"... rather than "on paper".

how is AU better on paper? AU replaces a QB and an OC just like UT.
I've heard alot of big talk on this board and i just flat don't understand how you could think the vols are strong enough to beat out FL and UGa
