How in the hell would 6-6 be amazing? We were three points away from being 6-6 last year with one of the worst Tennessee team there's ever been. We shouldand will be better than 6-6.

I agree with you 100%.....Look at Ga. last year; they were everyone's pick for #1 and they laid one big egg and embarrassed themselves.....I remember Bear Bryant's poor mouthing as well and I knew that he was playing the psychologist role to a tee...Just keep telling us how "bad" we are...It makes victories so much sweeter....

41 is not all that off to start the season. I think we do better than that to finish tho. 41 to start, 21 to finish.

5-7 teams with so many holes they look like a block of swiss cheese don't deserve to be ranked in the top twenty five. That rank is about right.

Very much so. I can see us being a little better or a little worse, depending on the passing game. Sucks, but hey, it's year one as far as I'm concerned.

These statistics tell the story on offense, but defensively, there is a lot of deception hidden in there. We didn't show that we could really stop any of the teams that we needed to last year (Florida, UGA, Bama or even UCLA for that matter) and whenever we truely needed a stop on defense, we couldn't get off the field (the end of the Auburn game).

And yet, our 09 team is not the 08 team and no one knows how it will be same or different. As I look at these preseason mags, I see that year after year they basically look at what happened last year and predict the same thing will happen again.

Ole Miss in 07 went 3-9 and fired their coach. So what did the 08 mags predict they would do? They did NOT say that first-year Coach Nutt would go 9-4 and beat the national champs in the swamp, they said Ole Miss would win 3 games again.

Basically these guys have no idea how the variables in college football will shake out; they just think they are playing the odds by extrapolating from last year.
