Was at the game, felt like crap, but it was worth it... they are so fun to watch, and I highly encourage everyone that reads this board to come out and support this team. Appy State played a terrific game, certainly out of their heads in the first half, when they literally could not miss a shot. This isn't typical Campbell/Belmont fluff, this is a solid mid-major team, well-coached, very quick, good shooters. I still am disappointed that Major doesn't dominate in the paint, let alone rebound. It's gotta be somewhat disconcerting that Bradshaw is the leading rebounder on this team (10 boards last night, 6 assists, 3 blocks, 4 points. I'll take that kind of game from him any time. In fact, as a former Bradshaw hater, I take back everything I ever said about him. He's got moxy and heart, and he's a much improved player over last year.)
What was the deal with the technical foul in the first half? Was there some sort of Pearl protest on the blatant non-call on the Appy St. travel?
Jmx: "Screech" = Jordan Howell? that's hilarious. Nice to see the kid contributing. We need him to be able to come off the bench and make a 3-pointer here and there. Last year, he looked totally helpless out there.
They just don't have the size or depth to compete with Texas, but it looks like Oklahoma State is now a winnable game. 9-1 is not out of the question going into conference play. If that happens, all bets are off. Kentucky is struggling. The only other SEC team that's really looked impressive thus far is Florida, but hell, even Buzz was able to beat Billy Donovan a couple of times at the Tommy Bowl.
