Vols and Bama - Home jerseys

Tide since the late 1940's. From Coach Thomas and Coach Bryant I learned a healthy respect for the football team from Tennessee. I truly thought the cream of college football wore crimson / or orange. Sure, we loved to beat the Vols, it indicated that you had a good football team if you could do that.

Today, fans have to "hate." I know some use the word loosely, and some don't. However, when you start hoping for a state to be "nuked" or people to die, or say you could gladly kill someone because of the team they cheer for, it has gone over the edge. I know you will think this is just a "geezer" talking, and I am one. But I miss the days when visiting fans were treated as guests, whether at Alabama or at Knoxville. Nothing thrown, nothing poured (except at Baton Rouge, where it's expected).

Hope we have a good game Saturday, and, as always, hope that none of the young men playing receive serious injuries. Thanks for letting me write on your forum.

I agree and good luck to You too :toast: Cheers!

Look, it's BAMA week! Some of my best friends are Tide fans...but October brings on a transformation. Think of the Birmingham lawyer-boosters, Logan Young, car dealers, snake handlers, Paul Pinebalm, & other Red Menace yokels...you'll remember that NObama! has a double meaning, especially in 2008.
GO VOLS!

Class act. Hoping for a good game.

I hate Bama, I hate living and working with them, especially on years like this. Oh by the way I hate Bama

Hate is such a strong word. But yes, I do Hate the Tide. Vols win! 17-14, game winning TD comes from Berry at QB, who throws it to... himself! (Sportscenter Game Changing play of the week)
