I collected these when they came out as part of the 100years of Volunteers celebration. All of mine are opened. I haven't looked at them in a long time. I took a bunch to the Orange and White game to have autographed that year.

Thanks for telling me about the set on ebay. I got a fat ebay gift certificate awhile back and had no idea what to use it for.

I still remember my favorite UT card. It was of Darryl Hardy tackling the guy from behind and looking like he was about to powerslam him.

i have most of these cards in a notebook at my house, but i was only 6 at the time, so i would just buy packs of them when my parents went to the grocery, so i am missing probably 50-75 cards

I have the complete 1st edition set. They come in an orange box with a picture of Carl Pickens on the front. The cards are still in their aluminum foil packs(14 cards to a pack, 294 cards total in the set). According to the box the cards are current players, all time greats from 1891-1990, and game action shots. Sorry, I am not interested in trading or selling them. They are some of my most prized possessions.

I have an opened box sitting around somewhere collecting dust, but I have no idea where.

If I ever find it, I'll revisit this thread.

I looked through my collection and I only found my original set. I thought I had two sets, must have given one away. I did a quick look through and i did not see a jimmy streater card.

Two things to keep in mind on the "100 years of Volunteers set".
The first boxes were very poor in mixing up the numbers on the cards. You can get boxes that have 90% 1-100 or 100-180 number cards and hardly any others. Later distribution did a little better in mixing it up.

Hardest cards to find in the set are checklists 2-4.

Orange Fan, Just looked at my complete set of Cards 1 thru 294 and sorry there is no Jimmy Streater. There are 2 Tony Robinson in the records section. I have the complete book with the album that the University offered to put your cards in. Good luck in your quest for your set....Go Vols...:loco:

Sorry just noticed that this thread is 2 years old.....
