I am not familiar with either song. My wife likes him, but she is into country music. I prefer old southern rock. To each his own, just giving you a hard time TXVOL![]()
Did he graduate from Gibbs? If so, I see no problem with this answer. I am no fan of his music, but this thread is just a bunch of cry babies complaining because a man chooses to wear a Longhorns cap (I guess I never knew that they were one of our fiercest rivals) and tell people which high school he graduated from.My dislike of Chesney is rooted a bit earlier. He was born in Luttrell, TN in Union County. For 3 years, he went to Horace Maynard High School (now Union County High School) in Maynardville. My former band director actually helped teach him to play guitar. But whenever he visits or talks about where he is from, he claims Gibbs high school exclusively- where he attended for just a year. No acknowledgement at all to many of the people that constitute his real roots. Screw him.
And so his lack of loyalty or legitimate fanhood to Tennessee is not shocking and actually in-keeping with the pattern.
1. There's nothing wrong with wearing another team's hat unless you're on the sideline of your supposed favorite team. Would any of you actually wear some other team's hat if UT invited you to stand on the sideline during the UT-FL game?
2. Wearing a FL helmet, doing the gator chomp, and singing on stage with Tim Tebow is a little different than just wearing an ND shirt or something.
