I won't lie, I thought his first few cds were really good.

Somebody's Callin, Tin Man, All I Need to Know, Grandpa Told Me So, Me and You, Paris Tennessee, When I Close My Eyes, Back Where I Come From (a Mac McAnally cover), No Small Miracle, That's Why I'm Here (my favorite), From Hillbilly Heaven to Honky-Tonk Hell, What I Need To Do and Baptism are songs that I'll still listen to today.

His post 2000 stuff is all crap though. He sings some stuff that is still country, but hearing it just ticks me off more that he's trying to be so much like Jimmy Buffett with everything else. There is only one Jimmy Buffett.

Who cares that he claims to be a UT fan, how do you think ETSU feels? He hardly does anything for his alma mater.

You actually own a Texas Tech Zorros hat? Did you pay money for it? Was it a gift you could not return?

15 years ago, when I lived in Amarillo, I bought it. Haven't worn it in a long time, but it is definitely still on the shelf.
