I’m not saying this to assume we’ll beat Florida because that’s dumb, but I think we would have absolutely drilled Utah. They looked slow and soft to me.

Can't prove you belong at #12 by beating #20. Can only prove you're better than team that was #20. Which is probably roughly where FL should have been ranked this week, right around there. No slight on Florida. It's just we all know Utah wasn't that good. Their #7 rating was hugely over-generous.

Wow, 8 SEC teams in the Top 25 this week. Four from the East, four from the West. About as balanced as it could possibly be, too: one from each division in the Top 5 ... one from each in the 6-15 range ... one from each in 16-20 ... and one from each in 21-25.

Pitt will be a statement game against a ranked, defending conference champion. Heupel realizes how the game is played, and the importance of the optics. I feel a little bit bad for Pitt right now. They are facing a 3-4 TD beatdown.

Florida looked better than anticipated, but jumping to 12th only happened because of the bogus pre-season polls saying Utah is the 7th best team in the country based on feelings and no game evidence. I don’t think there was enough evidence in that game to support the idea just yet that Utah is a Top 10 team.

I may get roasted for saying this but I don’t have a problem Florida being ranked in top 15. #12 May be too high, but Florida looked good, imo. At some point, one has to give the winning team credit for the victory. Is Utah a top 10 team? I don’t know but they were preseason #7.
Florida has athletes, esp QB. They may lose one -four games, who knows; but they impressed me. I just hope we take care of Pitt and then FL week four.

If our defense doesn’t get better, they are going to shred us offensively. We are going to have to score a lot of points.
