The Powerhouse of NC State:

2006: Akron 20-17 L (3-9)
2006: ECU 21-16 L (5-7)
2007: UCF 25-23 L (5-7)
2008: Wlliam& Mary (D-IAA) 34-34 W (6-7)

Since 2002 only 3 seasons above .500. only one season (2002) with 10 wins (11).

let them talk.

since when is 34-34 a win? Last time I checked, one team has to win in college football

just messing with you, NC State sucks, to squeak it out against W and M is not something to be proud of at all.

Do you guys play NCST regularly? If so, freakin put a beating on them!

They have even scheduled TWO 1-AA teams this coming season (Murray State and Gardner-Webb). The real funny thing is that they have to win a minimum of eight games (six against FBS opponents and beat both of these cupcakes) this season to become bowl eligible because neither of those 1-AA schools can be used toward their total of bowl-eligible victories. They used their once every four year exception of allowing a win against a FCS team to count toward their bowl-eligible victories last year. What a weak program.

they had to pad their schedule because of there other non-conference opponents. a couple of tough ones in south carolina and pitt. :bad:

One FCS opponent is padding, two FCS opponents is putrid. I give them credit for playing SC lite but a LeSean McCoy-less Panther team is basically toothless. They will have to go undefeated at home to have a shot at a bowl.

Don't our boys play UNC in 2012 as well? If so, then the Vols could win the ACC Coastal division as well as the SEC.

For those of us that have to live around tarhole and wolfpack fans, beating both teams in the same season...words cannot describe it.

I couldn't agree more. I am right in the thick of it. IF I had my choice, I would choose beating Carolina over State any day. Words cannot describe my hatred for UNC athletics. Beautiful campus, great co-eds, great bars, but man I can't stand them.

If this happens, I will be downtown. I will be drunk. I will be loud. I will be hoarse for days afterwards.

Unfortunately, those are the same factors that are in play for the SECCG. Let's hope that this one would go better.

"I like it," Wolfpack coach Tom O'Brien said. "You've got to play one major game that gets you on television. It's great exposure for our program."

by then, NCSU could be a lot better. CTO is putting together a pretty solid program in Raleigh. if they continue to do what they have been doing and we do the same, that could very well be a great opening weekend game.

My pops went to NCSU. I grew up about an hour east of Raleigh, and we used to go to about 3-4 home games a year. I was really hoping to get to make the trip to Raleigh to see the Vols sometime soon.
The Pack is my second favorite team in college football...though they will be my enemy on that particular Saturday. Can't wait for this game. I'll definitely be there.

I heard some rumblings of a Tennessee/Ohio State home and home, was this just rumors or will this happen?

The Oklahoma Home and Home series will be a good one. That's in 2014-2015. Nebraska is in 2015-2016 also. Can't wait.
