I remember hearing M. Browning speak well of J. Schofield and D. Thomas before the coaching change...I think Schofield starts at RT, JMO.

I was reading something on bleacher report saying nyshier oliver was kicked off the team, is this the case? Since its on bleacher report I am taking it with a grain of salt..

I loved how Dooley stated in the Tip Off club presser about the EE's and young players that "he can't wait 2 or 3 yrs down the road he needs them to step up now." I'm sure he's telling the players that as well and saying it just like that and I think our new coaches are really going to push the kids to the limit. If James can step up on the OL it will be huge!

Wow... we have a really young roster. That is a good and bad thing at the same time. Good for 2011 and 2012, but bad for winning games this year. Out of those few walk-ons that I saw, other than the obvious in Nick Reveiz, are there any that could make an impact in 2010?

This is the ? hanging over our season. That and QB. Should be a good test for the entire staff. If they can work through it and earn a winning season (even by 1 game) then the haters should hang it up. Big if and big should....my magic 8 ball says outlook cloudy!

Anyone know how many walk ons the other top sec contenders are playing? Just curious how the numbers compare. I know we have depth issues but was curious if that always is the cause of walk ons getting time.

I am surprised that you have Dallas Thomas as a starter at guard. I hadn't heard that much about him (which doesn't mean anything) and thought he might still be too small to play G in the SEC. Hope you're right though. :good!:

I believe you are right about D. Thomas being too small to be a Guard. Douglas is the LT and Shaw is starting at one of the Guard spots without a doubt. There are really only 3 spots up for grabs. I think Schofield is big enough to slide inside at Guard which would allow D. Thomas to stay at RT.

L V, have you heard how Arthur Jeffery is doing? What kind of role will he play? He was pretty highly touted prior to his HS injury wasn't he?....Thanks in advance.

I agree that looks like it could very well be how our OL shapes up heading into the fall. D Thomas is definitely better suited to play tackle at this point.

I agree with this lineup and I'm not horrified by it at all...

Depth stilll scares me....looks like Stone and James will have to contribute whether they're physically ready or not...but I think we can do something with this starting 5

a true freshman will likely start over Shaw..
