Vols 20-1 To Win A National Championship

Really though, how good is A&M? I know they have played and beat UCLA and Arkansas, but I 'm not too sold on how good either of those 2 are this year.

UCLA and Arkansas aren't particularly world beater teams this year either...I think A&M is seriously overhyped. The hard part about playing them will be our battered secondary versus their passing game...but if our DBs step up we might do way better than expected.

I don't see why Houston is such long odds, they don't have anybody left on their schedule...unless they are afraid of Oklahoma losing 2-3 more which would negate their marquee win.

Agreed about my Bruins. That being said, the Vols barely got by App State (a missed extra point and this thread wouldn't even be happening). I'd suggest taking it one game at a time before you start talking NC. Good luck!

I might be in the minority here but I just want to say something. How great is it to even be mentioned in the same conversation as championships? I mean seriously. How many of you really thought when Butch was hired that we would be in this situation? Being mentioned along with teams like Alabama and OSU? Thats a whole hell of a lot better than I ever expected from Butch.

I am not saying we will win it or even the East. But I am proud that Butch has gotten us even back to the point of being relevant on the national stage again. Go Big Orange!

ESPN's Arbuckle just picked us to beat the Dawgs...him, along with many other "experts" picked the Gators to win...guess the "Big Orange Hype Train is still chugging along...:yahoo:

GO VOLS!

Well, that doesn't make ne feel better. If he missed last week then why shouKkkjd I trust him this week?

Although this time I do think he gets it right.

Here's how they see it:

Alabama: 7/2
Ohio State: 4/1
Clemson: 5/1
Louisville: 5/1
Michigan: 10/1
Houston: 15/1
Washington: 15/1
Tennessee: 20/1
Florida State: 25/1
Stanford: 25/1
Texas A&M: 25/1

Either Clemson or Louisville's odds are set to go way down after Saturday night. Same with Stanford/Washington. It's awesome as a college football fan that every single one of these teams plays at least 1 of the other teams in the regular season.

yea right!

Washington beat the breaks off of Standford. They bullied them up front all night.

and Clemson barely scraped by Auburn and Troy, yet they're top 5 and 5-1 favorites. They're the most overrated undefeated team in the country right now based on schedules and how they played against opponents.

A&M is legit. If you watch enough football you'd see that from watching them. Tennessee is more likely to beat Alabama than A&M just because of matchups and talent top to bottom.

And scarier still is the fact the longer A&M stays in the SEC the better their recruiting is going to get. Only Texas school who can play in the toughest conference. That sways a damn lot of recruits in the lone star state.
