Yeah, I tried to fix it with no luck. Tennessee is not hard to find though, as long as you know what conference we are in.

looked like they were tops in A / TO ratio as well. Defensive statistics were not great, but better than I expected and certainly better than last season.

Let's see how all of that compares in a few weeks, now that everyone is finished with their patsy season.

I like that site.

They have to be proud of that, cause UT will not be leading in rebounding anytime soon, but that's awesome. I'm hopeful that the trend will continue.

The patsy season heats up in a big way for GA and AU this weekend...

273 out of 328 on free throw shooting!! That needs to improve or it is going to cost us a close game or two!!

I wonder if we still have the top spot after the last few games (see that it's updated thru 12/16/07). Also wonder if the FT% has gone up since then.

I am shocked that there are 55 teams worse than ours. Memphis, I knew about, but 54 others. I hope to goodness they don't give out scholarships.

I don't understand what the deal is the last couple of years. Our free throw % terrible. Hard to win champs like that.

Today on the sport page on the animal Jason Shay said we would have even more assists if we had a shooting % at 50%. We're currently only about 47 to 48%. Seems small, but makes a difference.

Jason Shay is apparently a rocket scientist.

How much was it effected?

Near 3%

With that included we are 65% as a team. Without 68. Not terrible. Just not good.

FT shooting is getting better as the year goes on.

Without the 0/12 Ramar is 71%

Chris and JaJuan are over 80%, Tyler is right below 70% (69ish), and Jordan is 78%

This is why we'll see all 4 of these guys on the court with a small lead near the end of the game.

the turnovers are going to have to continue if we are going to continue to get beat at the boards like we do. that could cause us trouble against a team with good guards and an inside game, a la UNC, not that UNC won't cause problems for anyone they play, but you get the idea......

we HAVE to generate TOs to make it work. stiffer half court D would alleviate some of that pressure

yep, and i know it's part of BP's style of play, but when we take those quick shots in transition, we never have anyone in position to even attempt a rebound. that' gets' frustrating at times. i'm honestly pleasently surprised when we get second chance points.....that's almost like a bonus for us.

i'm not saying we shold slow it down, but it always seems, to me anyway, a risky way to play; to count on 20+ to's a game to comepensate for those shortcomings.

you'd think after watching this for 3 years i'd have more faith in it by now.:eek:lol:

I'll never have faith in it. Teams with good guards take away one huge tenet of our game, a la Texas. I'd rather play up tempo at every opportunity, but have the ability to crank it down in the half court D if needed.

On quick shots - Jake, I see what you're saying, but quick shots aren't necessarily bad shots. Lofton or JuJuan wide open for a set 3 is a great shot, whether it's with 8 seconds on the shot clock or 32. An off-balance 3 from 26 ft. with a hand in the face is a bad shot, especially if we still had plenty of time to work for a better one.

We're going to take some ill-advised shots throughout the course of a game, but the system (which I think is right for this team) believes in trying to get a good shot as early as you can through transition and pushing the ball up the court. We're not stronger or taller than our opponents, but we are quicker and more athletic and deeper than most, and I believe our guys can beat their men down the court enough times to get plenty of good shots throughout the course of a game.
