Volnation Sponsors?

I understand the importance of Volnation's sponsors which in turn makes Volnation free .I'm just trying to figure out how ,for example, Lowes, which I happen to frequent a lot,knows that we, Volnation members, are visiting Lowes Stores in connection with Volnation.Is it as easy as many people visit or post that counts or am I missing something? I read something about internet advertising a while back, just not too in depth.Just want to make sure I'm doing my part in supporting Volnation .

Not sure how Freak has this set up. But technically I think Lowes could record the number of "clicks" they get from their ad on his site. Or Freak could offer that info if it was desired.

I guess as long as you work for the other man and don't have to rely on keeping your sponsors/customers happy it can seem like a joke.:no:
