VolNation! Salter needs you!

Yes it's just the Tennessee thing to do. We have been down so long if we believed Hitler could win at QB right away we would dig him up and try to bring him to life. All the failed QB of the last 11 years just a created mind set if he doesn't come in and win right off we just recruit another one and do him the same way. Not saying that I don't hope that Salter doesn't have a really good career at Tennessee because I do but we was doing the same thing last year with Bailey which I still believe is the future for the next 2 or 3 years just needs the right coaching.
I agree, I mean Bailey played JUST LIKE a true freshman who had no spring practice and limited reps in fall camp, because that's what he was.

Are we already giving up on Bailey as savior?
It seems like the Vol Nation is tossing Harrison Bailey over the side. If i were him i would probably transfer somewhere like Ole Miss,FSU or Georgia Tech.

FYI - this is a vote for a high school award. You both are jumping to conclusions in drama queen fashion.

The drama queens are the folks acting like they are giving up on Bailey at this point. By the coaching staffs own admission he got very minimal reps until mid-season. I get that people want Pruitt gone, I'm tired of the guy too but I think Bailey is getting the short shrift in terms of a fair judgment of his abilities on the field mostly because of what his Dad said on Twitter. It's hard to get more high school than that.

This thread is about a high school award for Salter and has nothing to do with Bailey. Trying to make it about Bailey is “derailing” the discussion.

For the most part I agree with you but we shouldn’t distract from a special opportunity for Salter.

The Landry Award recognizes the top high school football player in North Texas who demonstrates positive character and leadership attributes. The honoree is chosen by a voting panel of former coaches and players, members of the media and local leaders. Online public voting also accounts for one vote in the panel balloting. The program was created in 2010 by CBS 11 and TEXAS 21 in partnership with the Greater Dallas Fort Worth Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

I voted for the kid but I hardly know him. Sure hope he's worthy of this award because it's a serious character award. Have no reason to doubt he isn't.

Voted...it's quite easy to take a few seconds to do so. It may not mean a lot in the grand scheme of things, but if it boosts the confidence or mood of an incoming recruit...that's worth a few seconds and then some.

I voted from 30.8% until 31.19%. I was using 3 different browsers and clearing the cache after each vote. It got to the point to were I couldn't vote any more. I probably got in over 200 votes.
Come on guys, get those browsers cleared and keep voting.
