Have we already written tomorrow off as a loss? Look at the threads on the front page... Student ticket prices, Bruce Pearl and Arizona, Taste of the town, What to tell the kids...Cmon people! The Tide is rolling into Knoxville, gameday is tomorrow! Get up! Sure we are down and need change...but never ever quit!

I think we have a chance every game. I am tired of loosing the big games.

I agree and no one is more tired than the players...I think tomorrow will be a win. If you check out the Bama boards the consensus sounds "very cautious" and not too optimistic...except for the hayseed trailer park folks.

Screw the Bama redneck scum. They'll get punched in the face tomorrow night and like it.

I am pulling hard for a Vol victory so I can give this buck-toothed Bear worshipper at work hell!

Yes, I'm done getting my hope up only to repeatedly have them squashed. As a Tennessee fan, I regretfully am resigned to setting my expectations low so that the pain sets in gradually over time rather than hitting me like a ton of bricks over a 3 hour span. If we win, fantastic, but I'm prepared for an embarrassment. The consolation prize is that we are 1 step closer to a new regime that might breathe some life into our dying program.

I don't necessarily like feeling this way, but I'm doing it for my sanity.

Go Vols.

I am excited yet guarded as I have already been hurt far too many times this year already.

Can't be guarded. If I get my two front teeth knocked out in a fight with an arch enemy, I tell the next fight opponent I have a bunch of teeth left and let's get it on......

The offense has to roll, or the defense has to be depended on for two scores. Alabama is probably the best team we've played so far this year. I don't want us to lose, but I'm not betting on us winning either. This is a trap game for Alabama.

Just because I started a thread on Bruce Pearl, doesn't mean I am not thinking about beating Bama, I've got plenty of posts to support that. When do you suggest I post it, after it is no longer news? It was something Vol BB fans needed to know IMHO. 1824 views and counting seems to agree with that. You are assuming more than is there.

I've got a few of those reserved for the game!

Sarah Parker Wilson...prepare to meet the #1 pass defense and #10 overall defense in the nation!

Mind you, I'm a Vol fan.....

I think we have a chance.

I also think Fulmer will coach us out of our chance.

Bama by 14.

And no amount of "hoo-rah'ing" or trash talking can overcome a coach who is way past his prime.

It is what it is. I'll be more than happy to eat my words, but I don't think I'll have to.

I think we will all end up remembering this game as "the game that sent Phil packing".

go vols.

Lets say you're in Iraq and can't stand the commanding officer or agree with him on anything. Do you walk into the open, sacrifice your team, wave a white flag and take your beheading? Or do you fight with everything you've got IN SPITE of the current commander? Just asking.

I would fight with all I had. I am not fighting for my CO, I'm fighting to stay alive first, and for my country.

But I still would want to know if Bruce Pearl was being considered by another school.:)
That consideration is way down on the priority list. Bruce is all Vol. Prepare for a punch to the face, all you Bammers.

You are seriously comparing rooting for a football team to guys going into battle in Iraq? I like analogies as much as anybody, but in this case, not only does A have nothing to do with B to begin with, but as a bonus it's insulting to compare the two. Nice work.

Comparing Americans in combat to Phil Fulmer is so insulting that it doesn't deserve a reply. FYI, I was in Desert Shield / Storm. Unless you've been in Iraq, and I don't know that you haven't...but if you haven't, you have no right to make that comparison.

Fact is, there is no comparison.

What a chickens**t response.

Thanks for cheapening the sacrifice of those who gave their life on foreign soil.

I urge you to share those words with any veteran you meet. See what he or she has to say to you.

Don't bother responding. You're already on my ignore list.
