We found Dobbs has the missing link to this offense guy....we now have a run game with him at QB...4 in a row...our season starts in November....REMEMBER NOVEMBER!!!!

His run threat seemed to help the OL too....come on man! We don't face anymore NASTY defenses down this 4 game stretch. Time for Tennessee to raise Hell with the rest of the East Division!!!!

As much as I like to joke I do notice the positive energy and it's pleasant to see. That still doesn't mean I'm happy about any victory that isn't a real one. We have had plenty of moral victories and kiffin should never be allowed to leave neyland smiling.

I am not happy about the loss. I am happy about how my VN family is handling it. I was kinda surprised that somebody didn't lunk Kiffin in the head with something tonight. Or at least try.

I see lots of positives....we actually have a mobile QB that just scared the crap out of a great defense even with our bad OL; Dobbs has improved drastically over last year; the fans probably really impressed visiting recruits as did our impressive comeback; we have talented freshmen all over the field who are getting better each week and hopefully they will all make the sophomore leap; we didn't embarrass our university on national TV by killing Kiffin; sincere hope now for obtaining our season goal of making a bowl game. Is that enough?

I will be your huckleberry. Going into tonight's game, Alabama was ranked 3rd nationally in scoring defense (13.1 ppg), 2nd in rush defense (63.4 ypg) and 3rd in total defense (262.1 ypg). Counting tonight's game, Alabama has surrendered only 11 touchdowns defensively, only five of which culminated drives 70 yards or more in length. Our two touchdown drives were both 84 yards in length and culminated 10- and 15-play drives, respectively, which lasted 5:00 and 6:46, respectively.

Quite simply, it is very, very difficult to move the ball the length of the field against Alabama and put six points on the board and tonight we had the two longest scoring drives against Alabama all season. The only other drives 'bama has surrendered which were of similar magnitude were a 14-play, 79-yard TD drive by WVU and a 10-play, 81-yard scoring drive by Arkansas. We amassed 181 yards rushing vs. 'bama, almost three times their seasonal average, and 383 yards total offense, second only to the 393 yards which West Virginia compiled vs. Alabama.

Given the depth of the hole out of which we had to climb, how mightily we have struggled all year to run the ball and the fact that Josh Dobbs had not played previously this season, I was very impressed with our offensive performance. In the final analysis, unfortunately, Amari Cooper almost singlehandedly defeated us.

There is alot of hope left for this team moving forward. Seeing them progress through the year gives alot of reason to believe that UT football will once again reign supreme in the SEC. VFL Go Vols!!!

What impresses me the most is how hard they played after being down 27-0. They didn't quit when it would have been so easy to do so. These are not anything like the Dooley lay downs. This game also shows how far we have to go to be at the top of the SEC. It takes years of top recruiting and development. For those that can't see the improvement, you lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. Butch is building our program the best and solid way. Hang in there, we're on the way back.

My brother and I were scholarship athletes at UT. If you want to get better in any sport, you compete against people who are better than you. Guess what? You are going to lose sometimes and learn not to repeat the same mistakes

Having been an athlete at UT and a coach, to be blunt, your opinion is inane that you don't find anything positive in a loss. I never lost twice to the same school during my time at UT. First, I despise Alabama, so I definitely sympathize with you. Second, Coach Jones will take something from that game that will served him and the team well in the future.

Just my opinion from having had time to be on the inside of the program looking out.
