As as frustratrated as I am with the current situation, I'm for the staff because I understand that this was going to be a rough year before we even got CDD & it can't be done in one year.

For - I really like this staff and since they are our teams coaches, I hope they succeed. For the most part, they are relatively young and have room to grow together and learn as they build and coach up their team. I would love to see them succeed, but in the long term, meaningful wins will be the only measuring stick.

For coaching staff: If coaching staff succeeds, the university of Tennessee succeeds. I am waiting until the coaching staff implements the players that they have recruited. To judge them on this season is totally unfair.

For: 3 yrs at least before we can judge him. It's just painful to know I have to wait that long tho....

For-Because if we fire him now we will be even worse, nor am I delusional enough to think Fulmer would have turned things around. I'm not anti-Dooley but I am just not naturally attuned to his style of coaching.

For---These kids need time under these coaches and the coaches need to get kids they recruit before jumping to conclusions although I do not see Wilcox making ANY changes that work during the half!

31 yr old Female that (according to my husband) turns into a 50 yr old Man during football season!! LOL

FOR: this staff is young, our players are young... They are going to grow together into one BA team!!! We may be down now but it only gets better from here!!!

33 and For!

The assistants have performed well in previous jobs(at least to my knowledge) and seem quite capable of success in all facets of the job: teaching/coaching/recruiting/relating/motivating.

I'm a firm believer in Dooley's ability to lead a program. Haven't met him personally, but he comes across as direct, focused, dedicated, smart, personable and loyal. All qualities I believe that are necessary to not just win but win long-term.

for - at the beginning of the season i thought we'd get around 6 wins and be 3-3 at this bye week, but now that i've seen us play 6 wins seems rather improbable...i understand that dooley and the new coaching staff need a chance to get players if not just to provide depth for this team, because it's no secret we are thin at several other positions and much of the bad play can be attributed to inexperience and lack of depth...that said, this coaching staff doesn't get a free ride, we had 13 players on the field against LSU that cost us the game at least some of the blame must be put on the staff for that mishap

overall there's no where to go but up, and i think this staff can at least get us out of the hole we are in now

FOR -- I want these guys to succeed. I'm pulling for them. CDD has the perfect demeanor that we can embrace as Tennessee fans (southern charm, funny, yet firey (sp?) and not afraid to standup and get in the players faces). But can he recruit the talent necessary for the W's? I just don't know. For that we got to give them time and patience....a painful recognition.

The verdict is still out, I have seen good and bad things so far. I will say I am for them simply because a 4th head coach in a 5 year period would be unprecedented.

30 (well, I turn 30 on Wednesday)

Cautious - I bought-in last year, while I was always cringing for Kiffin's big screw up. I thought it would have been with a violation or something, but still...I just felt like something big was coming.
With this staff, I'm obviously rooting for them to succeed, I'm just afraid Dooley will end up just being a nice-guy who couldn't win in Tennessee's history books.

Like Dooleys attitude so far. Think his success will depend on his assistants. Wilcoz and Chaney seem bright so we'll have to see what the next 2-3 years brings. Its always great to be a Volunteer.
