VolNation boycott of Basilio

Why do you all hate Basillio and Travis? Because they speak the truth?

No because Travis is trying to become the next Finebuam. Pushing people buttons and trolling are more important to him now than the truth. The shame is when he does speak the truth now you have to wonder if he is trolling. Just no use to listen to him anymore.

The man's actions are unfair to the program. I'm calling for a boycott of Basilio. Run his ass out of town and settle him down in Tuscaloosa, since he has obviously turned his back on the vols.

Thats great! Let's boycott him for telling the truth! Let's boycott him for telling the truth 2 days after Swann and Rucker told the same thing on thier radio program. Let's boycott him for saying the same thing that Terry Fair said 3 days ago. Almost every reporter is saying the same thing. Sound like we have 2 player that are talented but are cancers. DEAL With it!!!!!

They dont speak the truth they speak an alternate opinion to get you to go to websites, twitter about them, get more attention, etc....

However they are just trying to get paid no reason to hate or come on a message board and boycott them, just change the station.

To let those who don't know who he is in on it, he is the guy who said Lovie Smith to Tennessee was a 100% done deal both on his blog and on the radio, among other things.

I don't know if it's true, but that's fair, I've heard all this from the people you mentioned. For that matter, in terms of Bray, Dooley's said things like you never know what Tyler's gonna do, he's laid back, he's winging it around the yard, sometimes I'm not sure if they know they aren't in the backyard. Isn't that pretty much the same thing Basilio is saying.

As for 21, all the guys you mentioned were talking about his actions with the training staff, before Basilio. That's not shocking, it's gone on on the sidelines during games for all to see, right.

Some folks think everything is dandy in Dooleyville, which is fine. When players on the team say the same things former players are saying, well people can ignore it or explain it away if they choose.

The last game of the season is enough to tell me things aren't peachy over there, this other stuff...more wood for the fire.

Yup, and Hubbs was ~100% sure the hire was done and it was going to be Kevin Steele. Until the university makes it offical it is all speculation....no matter who leaks it.

I don't pay attention to either of them, so why bring in Hubbs?

If you're a bumbling idiot who makes things up, you are who you are. What someone else does doesn't matter.

Tony Basilio is an idiot... I was thinking about making this same thread. Thank you OP... I listened once, but never again. He run his ignorant mouth when he shouldn't...

I am so tired of seeing this nobody quoted.

Look, all these media guys say stuff to stir the pot or whatever. You have to take what they say and filter out the bad. Ask yourself, "does it pass the smell test?" Basillio has missed a ton of stuff, but I got to say this makes sense. From other media reporting, actions on the sideline, no effort on the field (not just the KY game), comments from seniors in the locker room right after the game, etc etc. all those things point the same direction as what Basillio says. I hate it, but I think he might be right on this one. And if it is going on, it needs to be corrected and fast. IF it has been brought to CDD attention and he blew it off, airing it in public may be the best thing to get it stopped. Whatever the deal is, it's not good and needs to be corrected.

Bassilio is on an AM station that only three people in bean station that can pick it up anyway. I've heard it a couple of times... It mostly has all the grumps that get cut off while complaining on the sports animal.

Solid. Knoxville is a one horse town. If you cover UT Football or Basketball you've got to cover your rear so you can keep that access. Very few challenge the machine.

Still as you said, we may not be privy to the problems, but unless one slept through the football season and all of Dooley's pressers, it's obvious there are problems. The players aren't seeing eye to eye with each other or the coaches. The coaches don't see eye to eye with each other.

Don't need Basilio to tell me that, but I'm glad there are a couple people not sucking on the UT teat providing some info.

exactly. at least you're not going to some propoganda like you get from state run radio. Tony is at least passionate about UT sports unlike the sportsmamal. you could replace john and jimmy with a weather computer and it would get the same passion over UT sports.

tony is much better than the alternative. this thread is ignorant.

I think I listened to his show one time a few years back and knew within 10 minutes he didn't have anything to say that I wanted to hear.

OP obviously does not believe in freedom of speech. His boycott is a feeble attempt to silence a voice he does not agree with. Agree or disagree with TB but like everyone of this board he has a right to have his voice heard. Speak on Tony!

Boycotting is protected under the 1st Amendment, the same one that gives Basilio the right to be heard.
