Season Standings: SEASON STANDINGS



Guys this is the weekly pick contest which will last the entire season and consist of 14 weekly entries.

Each week I will select 10 games from around college football, which will be posted on Sunday (or Monday at the latest). I will not include any Thursday or Friday games, just to keep things consistent with the entry deadline.

All entries will be due before noon (Eastern Time) on Saturday.

The season winner will receive a $300 Amazon gift card.

Please post in this thread if you have any questions, suggestions, or comments.

Also, I strongly suggest setting up a recurring reminder on your computer or phone. If you miss a week, you can still have fun competing with other members, but it will be really hard for you to win the contest.

Why does it say I only got 6 correct on the standings when the picks show I got 8?

And I know people hate it when I include Tennessee as underdogs. It presents a real dilemma for some. :)

7-3 this week...tied for 11th, 11 points out...still plenty of ball left to play !!!

Haha! It's really a dirty trick to put the UT games on here when they are playing in a game they should lose. I made the wrong choice last time. I'll have to do some soul searching on this, I'm only 4 behind the leader right now.

I usually don't include games where Tennessee is double-digit underdogs but since it was right on the bubble I decided to include it.

I have something here that just doesn't look right. Last week I hit\moved up to 60 percent on the season this week I go 7 for 10 and drop to 48 percent.


Is that even possible mathematically?

Moved into the top 25 with 19 out of 20 the past two weeks. No way that momentum can continue...

I dont see my username A nywere....and played everyweek....is there someyhing wrong...and before making picks do you have to be logged in to make the picks count.

Guys, guys. When you get to a page, and it doesn't look updated, hit F5 or refresh.

For the record, when you visit a website it creates a cookie and stores that website in a cache on your PC. To shorten the time it takes to open up a website, browsers will look to see if you have that cookie already stored, and it will open the website from that cookie instead. A lot of sites that are updated regularly, but that you view regularly-- VolNation, 247, or even Freak's standings-- won't automatically update with the most current information.

Again, hit refresh or F5, and it will "overwrite" the previously stored cookie with a fresh, new one.

You could also disable cookies, and although it would take a little longer for individual websites to load and open, each time you visit a page you'll get the most recent updates/postings/listings, etc.

Refreshed 6 or 7 times. Also everything looks good except for season standings. It refreshed its just.....err screwy.

FREAK ... Last week I guess I submitted my picks (or something happened ) under sod23 instead of soda23 . I see my total correct picks did not increase for soda23 , but there is a new entry for 8 correct picks under sod23 . If it's too sad too bad I understand . If not great.......Thanks
