Thanks for posting the Basilio link. I always liked listening to him when he was on FM. I don't get a chance to hear him anymore.

LOL. My 8 yr old daughter has out scooped Hyams in the last month. He made a big excuse yesterday morning on 104.5 the zone. He said all his sources within the university told him wrong blah blah blah. I emailed The Zone asking them to replace Hyams with a deaf, mute, and blind monkey.

Don't know him, have never listened to him, and apparently am glad about it!

Hyams called in sick yesterday on the Sports Animal. My immediate thought when I heard it was he would be spinning some tale today about being in Kansas at the announcement. I love the fact how he has predicted wrong on BB, Oku, Jackson and Myles. His sources is apparently a broken 8-ball that is hung up on No.

I second this Hyams is an idiot. I wish they would let small Mike call in and blast him.

He was wrong on Marlon Brown too. He said his "source" told him M.Brown was going with Ohio State.

If Hyams would move to Ohio and be a sports writer for Ohio St., and John Adams would move back to Tiger country and be a sports writer for LSU, then perhaps we could get some good reporting on our Vols. When Uncle Phil left the inside sources left with him and now these 2 bafoons are being exposed daily. If Scripps Howard wants to continue doing business in this town it needs to hire writers with a clue. The KNS website needs to be revamped and GVX needs more credible reporting.

Hyams' credibility has taken some serious blows of late. Such as not wanting the possibility of Rodney Garner joining this staff because 'I don't like him.' (wahhhh) This "journalist" somehow seems to think he is THE sports voice for UT and is having a hard time accepting his insignificance.

Jimmy Hyams used to have pretty good information, but since he's been cut out of the loop, he has nothing to add to the discussion. He still looks like a 55 year old woman too.

I grew up in Knoxville and in my teenage years I heralded Jimmy Hyams as a tremendous source and wealth of knowledge about the University of Tennessee. I'm 28 now, living in Nashville, and can seriously not believe how much more accurate a random poster on the internet is than Jimmy Hyams. It's laughable at this point.

I mean I noticed inaccuracies throughout the Fulmer Era in the last few years, but I honestly think that he has gotten even more lethargic and disinterested about the direction of the program since Phil's departure.

I haven't heard him but obviously he is an idiot. It sounds as if you can get better "scoops" in a box of Raisin Bran.

I'm glad he's being kept out of the loop after the bash job he has done with Kiffin. Sometimes sour grapes are better eaten alone instead of shared with others.

I get better scoops out of my kitty litter box. I swear he didn't show up yesterday because 1. he looked really bad once again, and 2. he hates this staff and university and it makes him sick to report anything positive.

Another thing I've noticed is that Hyams has griped about closed practice on the Zone for the last couple of years now, and I have yet to hear him say anything positive about the fact they've opened it up with the new staff. Something this group did must've really crinkled his french fry.

FYP...

Hyams doesn't have a source within the AD like he had when Fulmer was here. He'll fade away eventually when he runs listeners off from the Animal with his whining, rambling and false information.

He should just come here for info then relay that on the radio. At least it would be more accurate than what he's doing now.
