COD3 is much more of a sniper game than COD2 was. With 24 players in a room, the maps have to be huge so you get a lot of camping. I also am not a fan of the tanks and motorcylces. It makes it too much like Battlefield when I wanted it to be more like COD2.

How was the ranked game last night? I couldn't find you guys but got into a good game of rush each other and kill as fast as possible. I was terrible at that.

It was not bad. People grenade a lot in ranked matches and they get pissy when they lose. It was pretty fun though. I wish you could send invites to ranked games. That way you could fill up a room quicker.

Yeah, that thing about cussing others and getting all mad when you lose in a VIDEO GAME is a bit funny. I had one guys cuss me up and down cause I got shot watching his back-who cares dude. Just laugh and have a good time.

I remember like it was yesterday. Freak was in my office telling me he bought a domain name and was putting together a board. I'm impressed with what he's done. It makes me think his family is make believe as much time as he finds for it.

Goodwill in Knoxville? :dance2:

Only the students that pay some extra fee get the shirts. So unless you know one, you're probably SOL.

Although we do have a bunch of volnation shirts out there, I think you are probably thinking of orange nation.

bigdaddy, I thought you just left, you should have sent me a message because you are certainly welcome to play with me anytime...I don't know who booted you but it wasn't me.

By the way, don't give up on gears, I still suck but get lucky now and again, it took me a solid month to take my GOW play from seriously crappy to just plain crappy.

No worries man, the host booted me last night. I just need to get better with the shotgun. As far as the blockbuster thing goes I love it. But the "netflix" game thing is better. Blockbuster is like 12 bones a month for 1 game at a time, but you get instructions. THe online mail thing is up to three games at one time and you get them quickly. Both are good but the drawback to blockbuster is you have to have a good one near you, if you do you are set.

On a lighter note, I played NCAA with a kid that comitted to OSU. He was pretty cool and had some good stories about recruiting. He could have been giving a load of BS but he seemed for real.

I know gamefly rents games by mail but I can't seem to find games on netflix, only movies. :dunno:

Gears of War hits 2 million mark

It's already been well established that Epic Games' Xbox 360 shooter Gears of War is a hit. In the first two weeks after the game's November release, Microsoft confirmed that it had already sold a million copies worldwide and that it had surpassed Halo 2 as the most-played game on the Xbox Live service. There was even speculation about a fourth installment in the series, when a sequel of any kind has yet to be announced.
Today, less than six weeks after Gears of War's "Emergence Day" launch, Microsoft announced that sales had tallied up to more than 2 million copies worldwide. The game has also gone platinum in the US, reaching the 1 million mark. Since the game went on sale November 7, the daily rate of Xbox Live Gold subscriptions, which are required for online play, has increased more than 50 percent.
In a statement, Epic Games president Michael Capps said the development team was "stoked" at the news, and said fans can count on the company delivering "new gameplay" through Xbox Live. Previously, Capps assured fans that his company would provide free downloadable content for all its games.
