Instead of having the double orange stripe down the leg, why not for a home game have just a orange/white checkered board stripe down the leg. It wouldnt be "flashy" yet it will still keep team colors and have some sort of tie in to the UT tradition.
I would normally agree with you, but Ok st did it already. I'm not cool with "copying" what has already been done. Go original or just stick to tradition IMO. I always liked the orange pants and white jersey and vice versa. UTex has taken the "storm trooper" look and made it as a part of thier shtick.
Also wish we would go back to putting the power T on the pants. I would also love bringing the orange jersey vs crimson jersey for the UT/Bama games. Saw UCLA/USC do it this yr and it was sweet looking. Iirc Kiffin wanted to but Saban said no. Not sure if UCLA/USC had done it in the past but if not I wouldn't be surprised if kif suggested it to UCLA. Just a thought...
I would be cool with a black jersey or something special every other yr for the Halloween wknd game in Neyland. Just cause its Halloween though anything way crazy but a little something would give players something to look forward to for at least 2 games of thier career if they stay. My concern with this would be the fact that if you give an inch people take the whole kabob...
UT needs to wear the orange jerseys on the road. I think the penalty is a loss of a time out at the beginning of the 1st and 3rd quarter. The way our coaches use time outs we do not know how the use them anyways.
I like the checkerboard stripe on the helmet but the orange face mask is over the top. I think the players would go crosseyed like the "opti-grab" from the movie "The Jerk".
