Change them to large orange letters with gray outline. Same for the numbers. Like the flat white helmets though.

Let's analyze the white road uniform, shall we? White helmet with a thick orange stripe and two big orange T's. Orange and white helmet? Check. White jersey with orange numbers and now an orange collar. Orange and white jerseys? Check. White pants (when worn) with orange stripes. Orange and white pants? Check! I see no problem with the white on white considering every piece of the uniform is orange and white. The orange pants are just flat out distracting and ugly, kinda like any clothing spawned in the 80's.

My point is that a uniform does not determine how a team performs on the field. As far as the away uniform, you look like you're pretty much on your own on that one. The Orange pants looked great with the new Orange collar on the White jerseys. The Orange pants will stay.

In this thread, maybe. I'm sure I could find a good amount of people who would rather see the all white instead of the white on orange. I'm not totally opposed to wearing as much orange as possible on the road, but shiny, distracting orange pants are not the answer. I thought the '02 road uniforms with the thick orange stripe on both the jersey and pants were great (now i might be on my own about those). While I obviously agree that uniform design obviously doesn't affect outcomes, I can't say I ever have or ever will like the orange pants.

They were good uniforms. I also would like to see us wear some white cleats from time to time. Nothing wrong with switching up our uniforms here and there.

No it doesn't matter, but we aint got much to talk about anyway now do we? and for the record I like the orange pants, but we never win with them. I also like white on white. Hell Im just looking forward to being competitive again in the next couple of years.

Question for the op. Why is it ok for the jersey color to change but not the pants? Please don't give me the answer "that's the way it's always been" If that was the case we would've never started throwing the ball.

I really love the new uniforms, but would like to see them drop the black outline on the numbers. The helmet doesn't have the black outline and it doesn't look great to me. I love the uniforms though, just an idea.

I like the new away uniforms too. That white top with the orange pants look great. I'll be seeing those in action this Saturday. Thats if Dooley has UT in orange pants.

I am all for the BLACK uniforms. It is awesome. The kids are really digging the black uniforms all over america. I think it brings something to the programs that students and players like. If it atttracts better students and recruits......why not do it every now and then. I am not saying to do away with any of our true colors but changing it up, would be a good bonus for the students, players and fans!!!

Only if you think we started wearing orange pants in 1999. You do realize we wore then all the time pre-Fulmer don't you?

The numbers have been outlined in black for at least 20 years.
