This thread will probably get 1000 replies with nothing accomplished. Adidas lovers only line of reasoning is "they pay us more." They have no ability to reason and present facts to establish why adidas can be competitive with Nike in areas of performance, technology, and popularity.

I think the recruiting thing is blown out of proportion but kids are interested in how the uniform looks and Nike does the best in football and bball.

For what it's worth, Florida, LSU, and Bama wear Nike, so Nike has the edge as the uniform of Champions

Conversely, isn't it interesting that some of the Adidas sponsored teams that historically have been traditional powers are struggling right now? (Tennessee, Michigan, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Nebraska)

hey, what about Underarmour? they are coming on arent they? Maybe not in basketball but in other sports.

Personally, I think Nike makes better football gear and Adidas makes better basketball gear. And when I mean gear I'm talking about shoes. A good looking uniform doesn't do you any good if your shoes aren't worth a damn. And because of that I really don't care who sponsors our athletics. I say whoever pays us more, then go with them.

Ok look, I saw something about uniform sponsors on tv and I decided to ask and see what everyone thought. Obviously it has been discussed before so I guess this thread is headed for mergeville. Thanks for the link.

I'm not trying to be a dbag. I'm just saying, you could have just bumped the thread we are now in instead of starting a new one.

Not like it matters now though.


But, to contribute to the thread I will add that I like adidas and I hope we stay with them for a while. I'm not sure what it is, probably just a personal opinion though.

The whole thing with Nike spends more money on production, I just don't get. They both probably spend around the same. It just wouldn't be a feasible business idea to not match Nike in technology and research.
