bring on the black in the unis! even a black jersey and black pants combo! it looks cool, the recruits love it, and it's 2010. Im not saying we should change our official colors or anything. black is actually one of our official secondary colors anyway. just saying we should keep the best of the "old" and add some cool new elements to the unis.

im pleading with the athletic dept to take a fan poll. or even have a uniform design contest and leave the results to a fan vote or team vote. then the greatest number would be happy

ive created some killer unis on ncaa 2010 for the vols and it would be awesome for the school to do something similar. no freaky designs or anything. reletively simple design. black jersey, orange numbers, solid black pants (no stripes) with a power T on the hip. black jersey on black pants is cool. black jersey on solid white pants is also awesome. Same beautiful helmet, of course. as always, white on white is cool as well.

Will anyone on this site that has any ties to or influence on those with the power to make uniform decisions, please pay attention to this thread and do something with the results?

I propose a fan or team vote on some proposed new uniforms. The new ideas could even be the result of a design contest.

This is a big help in recruiting and is long overdue. I have been watching UT football since birth in 1981, and there have been very few and very subtle changes in that time.

My humble design suggestion is not a stretch from our current uniforms. Yes, black should definitely be emphasized more in alternate uniforms. As far as design, we should go to solids (no stripe on pants) like our uniforms in 1997-1999. Also, we should add a black jersey, black pants combo alt. uni.

The three main uniforms would be:
home:
-orange jersey/white pants

away:
-white jersey/white pants

home alt:
-black jersey/black pants
-black jersey/white pants
-orange jersey/orange pants
-orange jersey/black pants
-black jersey/orange pants

away alt:
-white jersey/orange pants
-white jersey/black pants

*same beautiful helmet and logo of course
*the power T logo is perfect

PLEASE SOMEONE DO SOMETHING TO GET THIS ACTUALLY DONE....

PS: TO ALL THOSE WHO WILL POST SOME HATEFUL MSG BECAUSE THEY ARE RESISTANT TO ANY KIND OF CHANGE, YOU WILL BE DISREGARDED AS SUCH.

I too liked the solid white pants with embroidered power T on the hip we sported in the late 90's-early 00's. It seems every team has stripes or some design on their pants, the all white with the plain orange jersey looked really classic and nice...That along with an orange facemask would be my dream jersey.

The black Uniforms looked good, but they dont go well with the white helmets.

An orange helmet/black T or a black helmet/orange T would look better. Too expensive for the athletic department to do for one game though.

instead of black uniforms for halloween again, try regualar ORANGE jerseys with black UnderArmour and black orange striped pants. Might look better, but still the problem is the helmet. Maybe a black orange and white trimmed helmet?
