I hope we don't get "modern" uniforms like Floridas. From the back they look like they're wearing ladies garter belts. A little gay for my tastes. :eek:hmy: :ermm:

We've already done what they did 5 seasons ago when we wore throwbacks. That's essentially what they've done with these new "Nike combat" uniforms, which like ours are a one time thing.

I fail to see why we need to do anything else. We wore the black jerseys and that fired everyone up once, which is about all that will do. You wear them every week and it will become less special. Not to mention Kiffin already made a pretty big change by making the orange pants a regular part of the uniforms. The Vols have worn the orange pants more this season than in the 16 years Fulmer coached all together.

We don't need to change for change sake, that's just stupid. We start winning again and nobody is going to be talking about how we look.

ok, ok....i can agree with what you are saying...i'm just saying we could use a jersey with a pinstripe inlay or something of that nature...its not going to change the traditional look...it would just look a little more "Modern"...you can agree with that can't you? I'm not sayin change the entire uniform...

No, I won't agree to a pinstripe inlay or any of that crap because everyone and their brother is doing that now. It's so overdone.

About the only thing I would like to see maybe is matching the white jersey and outline the numbers on the orange jersey with black. But I'd have to see it.

I mean when I look at the white jerseys and the home orange jerseys, to me it jumps out that the whites have the numbers outlined in black. I'd like to see how it would look to have the numbers outlined in black on the orange jerseys.

What if that's the surprise berry has for everyone today? New Uniforms.
Seems like everyone waited until the last game today to bring theirs out.
Kiffin may have fooled everyone.

Palm fronds? Va Tech has the same wings on their uni's that the gators have. The last time I checked Blacksburg does not have any palm trees.

They have to be fairy wings.

I was unfortunatly having to watch the games today on a crappy hospital TV at UT Hospital. My moms in ICU up there. But if your talking about the top ofthe Gators shoulders? I also noticed Virginia Tech had thesame pattern on there jerseys along with a crazy 2 tone number scheme. So was it a wing pattern? Like I stated it was hardto tell from the little crappy 20inch wall mounted TV's at UT. But one change that I would hope Tenn. Never pulled would be a crazy helmet like Mizzou had tonight. They looked like a flat black. Anyone with better TV my question is what type of helmet color was the Mizzou helmets? Were they flat black? Nike has some crazy ideas. They are to far out there for me. That's why I'm glad we have Addidas. Now I'm not saying I don't like to see different uniforms sometimes but I don't like the off the wall craziness that Nike comes out with sometimes! Like the different color sleeves on there jerseys they had on some of there uniforms a couple of years ago!

I do think we need a little fashion upgrade. Not major, but some updating. I little color on the white jerseys, maybe under arms and around shoulder area. I do love the triple stripe pants.

From what I've read about them, it's a feature of all the Nike Pro Combat uni's. Instead of double layering the fabric on the shoulders, they have a technical yarn which is woven into the single layer of fabric, which works to provide an equal amount of durability in that area while using less material overall.

Florida, along with some of the other teams which used these new uniforms for their last game of the year, had a different color for the yarn itself than the color of the jersey. Some schools, like Ohio State, had yarn which matched the color of the jersey.

To make it simple, it's just a thread woven in there to make the shoulders more durable while using less material, not a wing, palm frond, or anything else.
