I would say you are probably right. And count me amongst the numbers of people who don't really want to see black jerseys.

I'm not so keen on the all black jersey's, something just seems off with the orange in there.

I do like the look of the orange helmet and would like to see it from time to time.

Please!!! We are not Notre Dame or Penn State. Let the players have their name on the back. Our team having a me-first approach is on the coaches. Jerseys have nothing to do with discipline. The National Champs for the past 4 years has had the name on the back of their jerseys.

I have long glanced in at all of the banter on this site...I usually do not take the time to reply as I just don't have the time to track/wait on a response. My posts were not intended for argument...simply my opinion. I actually wore the colors for two years and felt qualified to chime in. Why are the majority of the posts in here geared towards slamming others or puffing their chests because they have the most posts...or no life and the 1st post? I enjoy talking my Vols up wherever I am. I have been loyal to the Vols for 40 years...holding season tickets since graduation. My dad's tickets go back to before my birth...to his graduation. I have spent more money on memorabilia, tickets, travel, VASF and my own tuition than most of you will make in the next few years...
Check yourself before you slam someone on this website designed for our fans.

IMO i think we keep the traditional look.

But i wouldnt mind seeing us wearing The Orange ersey's with the Orange pant's with White stripe's @ home, then the White Jersey's with the White pant's & Orange stripe's on the road.

In that case, let's remove anything that isn't Orange and White. Like, the black outline on the away jerseys, our shoes, our cleats, our gloves.

Fact is, there can't just be orange and white on the uniforms. It just looks like practice unis.

I am in favor of an all black uniform. Like I've said before, Tennessee won their first conference championship wearing a black uniform.

i for one am in favor of the all black jersey and i am in favor of nike over adidas i mean i like what they've done for oregon i like their jerseys it keeps things different not just the same thing over and over

OR,,,,, since we are in the country music state we should wear sequenced numbers with swirly's like Porter Wagner wore on his jackets. Seriously, our uniforms are awesome the way they are. Don't mess with perfection!.

Look at the New Zealand All Blacks.......consistent champions, look people, black uniforms are the answer, quit fighting it.

How about CLK lets the players have their say so? Like if they do want to wear them one game, they have to earn wearing them by working extremely hard? Or something like that. I think it should be up to them. Especially since the same ppl that are saying no and talking about tradition are the same ppl that sold tickets to bama fans and let them take over Neyland like they did.

The 1970s, 1980s and early 1990s men's basketball had light blue in the uniforms. In fact, in the 1970s, the men wore light blue Chuck Taylors on the road with their orange uniforms. It brought out the tiny light blue outline in the uniform

I feel like some people want black our all time home jersey. I say we make a black jersey just for a big game like once every few years kinda like when notre dame busts out their green jerseys.
