Exactly! Tradition still means something to some of us.
Really? What about when it gets under the skin of some of the big buck contributors. Jim Haslam and Charlie Anderson are both former players. I wonder what they would think?I think it would be amusing to change the uniforms (colors, design, w/e) just to get under the skin of some of the people on here like SOJ
The meltdowns would entertain me.

I wonder what Hamilton and Kiffin would think about being left standing on the corner scracthing their ass? When they go fooling with UT tradition. That could very well happen.
In case you haven't noticed. the PTB (Powers That Be) at UT don't like a lot of change.
I have UT shirts older than you.You act like the uniforms have never changed.
I am only 21 years old, and I began watching Vol football in 1995 when I was 8 years old (that I can remember anyway...first game I have an actual memory of is 95 bama) . Anyway, we have changed uniforms at least 2-3 times since I alone have been watching football. The changes don't have to be epic or anything, they can be the size of the lettering, or the style, or it can be the shade of orange, or it can be orange tops + orange bottoms, or you can keep the home jerseys the same but have some snazzy alternates.
You take the whole tradition of the uniform thing so seriously as though our players are still wearing the same rags that players used in 1928 on shield watkins field or something.

What scares me is that this thread will probabably be our biggest topic after NSD.
I don't know why people get so crazy over the uniforms. There is a huge contingent of people that want to see black jerseys. There are equally as many people who are vehemently opposed to this idea. I personally would like to see the unis stay exactly how they are, only with the orange pants being used more on the road, but the Vols are my team, and more than anything I want to see them win, regardless of what they are wearing.
