Just a little black around the numbers, so us old vols can see the numbers. also for the name.

i never disagree with pat summitt, until she took th enames off the lady vols,,,, for what reason, so she would not know them....

it is a sport, not a life or death thing.

heck you got two stripes on the pants legs not to long ago, isnt that enough for UT tradition. Tennessee should stay with white helmets, orange stripe and T. Home, Orange jerseys, big white numbers, white names on back and solid white pants with orange T on front of pants. Away, white jerseys, big orange numbers and orange names on back, pants same..... BUT.. I would have to say the uniforms UT showed against UCLA were pretty nice, white with orange pants... i only like that cause it reminded me of my high school uniforms, kinda.

I think we should remove the black from the away jerseys, it looks horrible. We should put gray or something around the # so the announcer can see it better, but I think the black should go. The only thing he should change is maybe wearing orange pants with the away jersey, and I wouldn't mind orange face masks.

That has to be the dumbest thing ever. Oklahoma has a covered wagon pulled by a team of horses running at full speed on their field. How much damage can a walking horse really be doing to the field?

If we want new uni's -- just make a deal with Nike and let their designers loose.

Just look at what they came up with for Army. :D

But don't forget what they did for Oregon! :(

Exhibits A and B as to why we should do no such thing. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I didn't care for Army's camo look at all. Navy on the other hand had a very traditional, classy look with the exception of those wierd blue patches on the shoulders.

That camo didn't seem to help Army avoid the 34-0 shutout. Anchors aweigh boy-o's. I was glad Army's fb got the chance to get the school single season rushing record though. I couldn't believe it when they started throwing the ball at the end of the game.

When will this blasphemy end? UT's colors are sacred and perfect and need never be changed. You can't improve perfection and imho we have the best uniforms in college football.

If people believed that black uniforms would help us go undefeated, I guarantee you that there would be a long list to sign up for the idea.

Uniforms have nothing to do with performance. It's about personal taste and style.

It's amazing the national powers NEVER change their uni's. They're part of the tradition of that school. Everytime someone brings this stuff up, it reminds me just how far some think we have fallen. These people have to be teenagers.

Edit: Come to think of it everyone but maybe PSU has updated uniforms.

The only change I'd like to see is the removal of the players names on the back. Replace it with Volunteer. Make it about TEAM instead of ME!
