I remember my dad telling me about the Bama game in the 80's when we wore the orange shoes and lost.

I don't think that was because of the shoes.

the only suggestion i have is to add stripes on the shoulders like the baseball team has. 2 black and a white in the center.

I think sennse the 90's our uniforms have changed somewhat. Not drastic but definatly different. you look back to when peyton or jay gram or even the 98 team and the jerseys where traditional-almost like michigan or ohio states but now they are just a little different in the lettering....it kind of bothers me as someone who has played football their entire life...because little things like that can drasticly effect the teams mindset....does anyone know what im talking about???

When you say your entire life, what age are you now and did you start playing shortly after birth? What was your first uniform?

These guys are wearing orange uniforms. I doubt that 3 people on the team wore orange and white in high school...just a few years ago. I doubt that what they wear now and what teams wore 10 years ago has any bearing on their mindset. 1 out of 10 players grew up loving the vols. Of those players maybe a couple paid enough attention to really notice a difference.

Let's go back to leather helmets. Players just aren't in the same attacking mindset as they were back then.

The only change was going from Nike to Adidas. Obviously Adidas wanted to do something to differentiate itself from the Nike unis even if it was subtle.

You are right my friend. The biggest difference is the material that is used for the uniforms. The material is thinner, stronger and a lot more glossy. The jerseys are also made to fit the players and pads which give them a better fit.
