When was my argument that Tennessee is in the position its in because of Alabama? You seem to just make up whatever you want. You are the one saying Alabama winning an NC helps Tennessee when it does not in any way shape for form.

I'm glad you are happy that YOUR sec is going to win a NC. I'm not a fan of the SEC. Watch survivor....what the hell are you talking about?

At lunch, go to any Family Dollar, Dollar General, hardware store, or WalMart. Buy you one of those 16-ounce industrial squirt bottles. Fill it with water, then dial it down to a pinpoint stream with about a 6-8 foot range.


When the dog (or Dawg) barks, squirt it. Works like a champ at my house.

At the Georgia game I was in DD and a Georgia fan kept jumping up yelling "Dawg Food!" whenever our players ran out on the field. I really thought someone was going to slug the guy.

I only hope we do as well.

I rooted for Georgia, not for conference pride, but because I hate the crybaby Mayfield.

Georgia will get their comeuppance. Even if they win a NC, they won't get another year where the East is so weak. And until they have a regular date every year with Bama, I don't want to hear their garbage!

The fact that you have to put up with it in Soddy is what makes it more annoying than anything else.

The Chattanooga area is majority orange, but there are a ton of fans of other schools here.

Hey guys. Just want to say I always enjoy reading the UT perspective and love the humor alot of you have with each other. I am a Georgia fan and come in peace. Just wanting to say that I agree there are a ton of insufferable fans. What I've noticed is the fans of whatever school is in the region I'm living in at the time seem to always be painful. I lived in SC for a while and it was painful to be around all the Clemson and SCAR fans out there. I guess when you hold a school near and dear to your heart it becomes bothersome to hear the never-ending talk. Funny thing is I've had people tell me UGA fans are the worst. Might be something to it. I know plenty of insufferable UGA fans and I want to punch them when they get all rowdy. I think it's the hive effect.

No worries. Every fanbase has their few including Tennessee. But UGA fans are not worse than Alabama. Their unsufferability goes far beyond the game of football. A large portion are actually am embarrasment to anything that has every taken a breath of oxygen.

I was at a South Georgia restaurant tonight wearing my Tennessee hat as always. I was shocked when a guy walked up to me wearing a MS State sweater and asked me if i was a champion of life. I asked him who his new coach was and walked away..His friend (with a GA hat on) did that stupid dawg bark thing and i turned around and told him when he needed a real dog to hunt with i had a blue tick at home.:rock:

A large percentage of dawg fans (much like bammer fans) support no other team other than the football team. They don't care about other men's and women's sports at the university. They don't really follow the NFL, MLB, NBA, or NHL with any passion. Their complete fanaticism is channeled into that one football team. This sports myopia is the root of their problem.

2 distinct memories I have of GA fans in Knox are from the same game. Parked across the river and walked the RR Track bridge to come in from South Endzone. Noticed a bunch of GA Sorostitues and Frat boys crowded around someone on the side walk, GA chick was passed out cold. Guess they were figuring out if they could just leave her or not. The other were the two UT Fans that had seats in front of ours in M, their UGA daughter came and sat with them in the 2nd half....read: squeezed in between them....and then proceeded to stand the rest of the game. When asked to sit down, rents said nothing and she just gave us a bad look. To keep the peace we didn't have her ass thrown out but strongly considered doing so.

There is a percentage of every fan base that fits that description. My point is that the percentage at GA and Bama is higher than at other schools. They care nothing about the women's sports at their school, they do not support the basketball program at their school, and most hate pro sports.
