But, it’s at a new level now.
At a party last night with a lot of Dawgs.
Seems they are all the greatest and most superior fans now.
They expect to crush OU.
They are going on and on about their recruiting that will be number one every year under Kirby the magnificent.
One guy told me he thought it was “funny” that UT thinks they will get somebody as good as Smart from Alabama.
I just smiled while mentally hoping he would die in a fiery car crash.
Any Vol who roots for them tomorrow out of conference pride is crazy, I loathe Georgia. Boomer Sooner!

Every team gets paid whether they win or lose. It in no way helps UT for Bama or GA to win anything. You have 1 team to pull for and that's UT. If not then:

My son is an LSU fan and i took him to the LSU/ ND MCB. The ND fans were comparable to Bama fans, just awful. I will say the worst ones seemed to be bandwagon fans that were from Tennessee and just hate Tennessee and the SEC. Either way, they sucked.

Sorry you ran into what was obviously a bunch of ill-mannered, likely liquored-up UGA fans. And yes, some of them are insufferable, but you don't have to look that hard to find the same types amongst almost any other fan base...including UT.

Hate is a strong word. I've been working on taking that out of my vocabulary, and out of my heart.

The one team I just absolutely cannot bring myself to pull for, under any circumstances, is Florida. Probably for the same reason(s) that many of you will never pull for UGA, against any opponent.

FYI, my three favorite CFB teams are UT, UGA, and whoever is playing Florida. So I get it. You'll never see me say "Go Dawgs" here, because this is a UT fan site, and no...I don't go to any of the UGA fan sites. Just here.

But if you're ever down around the St. Simons Island area, let me know. I'll introduce you to a few UGA fans who will treat you like family, rivalry and all. Don't let the idiots out there ruin what is, and should be, a fierce but respectful rivalry.

Lol, most of those fans probably weren't even born the last time GA won a National championship (1980). And if not for us fumbling on the 1 yard line late in the first game of that year against GA, they wouldn't have won 16-15

I went to grad school in Atlanta and I can tell with 100 percent certainty that friends are a million times worse now than they were 5 years ago. In fact, we were having a discussion before they announced the playoffs as to who deserved to get in between OSU and Bama and this guy got so mad because he said we were disrespecting UGA by not talking about how great they were. When we told him they were already in and we were discussing the 4th spot he erupted saying, “see your teams can’t win so you’re gonna jump on Bama. Can’t wait to win the natty and rub in in your faces all year”

So I’m easily for the Sooners and I think I’d like to see Bama beat Clemson. Maybe it’ll help get Dabo outta our yard so much

Year after year for quite awhile now they are always over-ranked in pre-season and never meet the expectations. They could have finally turned the corner but if the past is any indication they will continue not being able to meet pre-season expectations.

IMHO they have gotten more "cocky" and that has moved them up past Bama and UF as SEC teams that I can't stand. They can't beat OU and the other semi-final winner in back to back weeks.

My math tells me CJP gets a year to build, maybe two. We should be able to go head to head with them if we have good coaching and good recruiting.

Not underselling what Kirby is doing at UGA. Got to say though, timing is everything. Richt left talent, and SEC east was a dumpster fire for every other school. Hard to get those moons to all line up for CJP.

Talked to a lady and her husband today at work wearing Oklahoma gear and as they walked by I said "Boomer sooner" and they wanted to know if I was from Oklahoma and I said no I am a dedicated Tennessee fan and their faces lit up and said they loved Tennessee fans and met a lot of them the past series against them and say they have kind of adopted UT as their 2nd team to root for...I said believe me the feeling is mutual and a lot of us hope OU destroys UGA...Funny thing is I've never met a OU fan that I didn't like...They always seem so friendly.

You don't understand. I've got friends who live in Atlanta and I've got friends in Huntsville and Birmingham, and I've got friends on the Florida panhandle. And they all agree on one thing: UGA fans are the most insufferable, smug dickwads on the planet when they have a decent team. It's been that way since I was in school 20 years ago. God I really can't stand them. They're worse than Alabama and Florida fans by a damn sight.

That’s saying a lot. Never lived in Georgia or went to any games in Athens but as a Vols fan at the Swamp once I felt only hostility and rudeness from the Gator fans.

I lived in the Atlanta are for 40 years. There is nothing new about them thinking they are the world champions and they will win every game from now til eternity. They are the most obnoxious fan that have ever lived. It seems funny that their last National championship was when Hershel Walker was there and they only won when he was a freshman.

I think they have a very good football team and I will cherish the moment when they are beaten by OU who will be playing with a sick QB. Tennessee is one of two-three teams which most often spoil their fantasy dreams. Auburn and GaTech also often get their goat . As Tech's fight song states " to hell with Georgia".
