Creer...That depends. He is not as impressive as some Tx RBs this year, like the white guy who can jump above LB's head... But We need to show TX prospects that young guys from there can develop very well here.
Sawtelle will get a plenty of chance to play after Eric Young. He will be our next best OL man.
Dont really feel good about Brimfield and Melancon, to be honest...

Concerning about the WRs. I am hoping AT LEAST one of O'neal, Vinson, Paige, and Jones will be 1st Rounder in next few years, because we are WRU!

A runner with Creer's power does not need to jump over a player, he can simply run over him. The first time Sam McGuffie attempts to leap over a college LB, that will probably be the last thing he does as a college athlete. I guarantee Bob Stoops and company will coach him not to do something like that under any circumstances.
but see thats what makes him so good is that he can pull off stuff like that.. im pretty sure Pete Carroll and Reggie's high school coach told him plenty of times not to reverse field or run backwards, but he does stuff like that anyway and is able to make big plays out of it, thats what great players do, they amaze you with plays that go against the rule of fundamentals, and Mcduffie has the potential to be that type of player... any rb can run a db or maybe a lb over, but to be able to run backwards and reverse field for a huge gain, or pull of a stunt of jumping over a defender, not to mention the courage that goes along with jumping over someone, on the way to a td makes me look at him not as a dummy but a special player

I'll take Creer over McGuffie. A great player is consistent and I don't see McGuffie as a consistent feature back. There is a good chance he won't even play running back in college. He won't last long attempting all those hurdles.
Reggie Bush is a total freak and McGuffie won't be anywhere close to him.
Sam Mcguffie is a natural talent. He has attributes that God gave him. He has burst, instinct, and vision. Also he runs with power ! I am aware this is on the high school level, but the skills that he possess can't be coached or taught. If you watch the youtube video of him closely, try and disregard the leaping over players and watch the other things like his ability to setup his blockers, the ability to cutback at the same speed, the ability to find that seam and burst through it. I know everyone is amazed by the way that he leaps but that won't make it on college level. However the other intangibles that this kid has is amazing. He could be the next Reggie Bush if he works hard and keeps his head on straight.
how big is mucguffie? isn't he really tiny?
around 6' ft 185 lbs which isn't big but not tiny especially for a high school player.
I think the kid will be a good college player but somebody said earlier Creer wasn't as highly rated as other backs in Texas and gave McGuffie as an example. First, McGuffie isn't even in Creer's class. Also, Creer was the highest rated RB in texas for 07.
If in the right system McGuffie will do okay at RB, however; he might not even be a back in college. Creer is a perfect fit for Tennesssee and he can bring back the running game we need IMO.
