Vol network app?

UTSports.com streams the Vol Network programming, but the player does not work on some mobile devices. There was some planning going into apps for all of the IMGCollege schools to stream programming onto Smart phones. It appears that, for the time being, licensing and technological issues will prevent these from being developed for any of their schools, including UT.

You can listen to all Vol Network broadcasts live on UTSports.com. There is also live video of many non-televised events.

Pretty much any game that isn't televised will be available on espn3. There is an app for that but only covers like 2 providers. It's the watchESPN app & I think the providers it covers are comcast & verizon but not 100% sure. Would be nice to have vol network app though.

No., I'm talking about the games that ESPN and other TV don't cover, like most baseball and softball games. They're exclusive to UTSports.com.

The Vol Network app would be audio-only. UT and the Vol Network can't video stream any event that is being televised. CBS and ESPN have exclusive video rights to those games.

I was primarily talking about football.

CBS Sports, I was able to watch a few live basketball games on it. I didnt get it during football season so i dont know if it works for those games. It's also free.

CBS Interactive makes an app for all most every other team but not for the Vols.

I also have Tennessee Volunteers Superfan. You can not watch games on it but is has news, scores and other stuff. I dont think its worth the 1.99 it cost though.

Because of the SEC TV contracts, schools cannot stream live video of football at all. That can only be done by CBS and ESPN on their sites.

1. Sport: UT Football
2. Focus: Streaming Games (not iPod)
3. Not bragging, just grateful.
4. Comments: Last season I was fortunate to view almost all games here (KY) either via TV or online. Hope it happens again. Have bought adapters and cables that will allow me to hook up my notebook computer to the HD TV if the game is streamed but not on TV. Adapter allows a USB to HDMI (or even RGA to RGA and USB to USB) so am eager for the season.

Now, as for mobile viewing, I believe my Blackberry Curve 9330 has this ability but I don't use it as yet. Mainly because I have no reason to but you Blackberry people may be interested in knowing it's an option.

This coming season I'm very hopeful of attending 3-4 games. Depends on if I can cut my costs by having free overnight stays courtesy of an old friend. Would love seeing my Vols in action live rather than on some screen. But if not, I expect to capture TV or streamed games. The notebook to TV hook up removes having my face planted into a 15 inch screen.
