The announcers for the game were horrible. It was somewhere in the neighborhood of Jerry Lewis Telethon meets Chinese Paper Cut torture on the short bus. I could barely stand to listen to them. I think Overstreet should do something else, he wasn't as bad as the other guy. He was so bad I am glad to forget his name. I don't think I will pay anymore money to watch the game on PPV, I think I can take Kesling MUCH BETTER!!

BTW....GO VOLS. Very nice win and looking forward to next week.

I didn't think Overstreet was that bad. The other guy was the worst announcer I had ever heard. He must have gotten that job on his back.

Overstreet wasn't terrible, but he's guilty by association with that bum. Every 2nd or 3rd sentence was incorrect in one way or another. I can't comprehend how he has a job.

I've already sent an email out about it in hopes of having them review the tape and realizing that people don't want to pay $25-$30 for that crap.

I couldn't believe the play by play guy kept talking about the "16 yard FG" over and over again. He must have mentioned it 6 or 7 times and it never occurred to him that it's impossible to have a 16 yard FG attempt.

Overstreet was a little better, but after about the 3rd time when he referred to "the game tonight" even though it was sunny and 3:00 in the afternoon, I began to wonder if he was even at the game.

It was the worst announcing I have heard in a long time. Whoever that clown was with Overstreet couldn't get a player right to save his life. It's one thing to mispronounce a player's name. Quite another to continue to call the wrong player all night long.

Agree 100%. That was by far the two most glaring repeated errors.

I guess you could have a 16 yard field if you were at the one and didn't try to punch it in.

Even then though, it would be at least a 17 yard attempt. There's no way you can have a 16 yard FG attempt unless your holder only lines up 5 yards deep instead of the customary 7.

Overstreet was fair. His partner in crime announced the wrong UT RB almost every time.

So what....We won and that's all that matters
Geeez!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you even watch the game?? Or are you just coming at us because of it being something negative we picked up on?? Look if you watched the game on PPV you would obviously know how horrible it was to hear those two dopes call the game. Had it not been for me watching it on Dish I would have listened to Kesling call the game but I would have known the play before it happened on TV. I would rather listen to Pam Ward than those two.

Yep. That drove me crazy too. It's truly astonishing that this guy has a job announcing football games when he doesn't know that you have to tack on the 10 yards of the end zone to the distance on a field goal attempt. What a $#!%ing moron!

He also incorrectly identified the UT player involved in approximately 40% of the plays. Hell, on one run he identified the player as Coker, and I could tell by the way he ran that it was Foster without even seeing his jersey.

The guys name is Randy Smith. He does the sports for Channel 3 here in Chattanooga. He's usually not that bad, but was terrible today.

A friend of mine informed me that Randy Smith actually wanted the John Ward's job before they gave it to Kesling. We should count our blessings.

:good!:

That guy was horrible.

My favorite part was when he said "the Vols have to stop the run better in the 2nd half especially in the 3rd and 4th quarter".

Did anyone notice a disproportionate amount of "16 yard field goals" for the Vols today?
We've been talking about that. It's unreal as many times as he said that, that eventually it didn't dawn on him "hey, I'm not adding in the distance for the snap and the end zone . . . there's no such thing as a 16 yard FG.":eek:k:
