So no one knows if the slips cost $, or are they reserved, or where I can find out? Guess I could just stroll up to a boat there and start asking. . .

The amount of moonshine consumed by Vol fans on the boats is commensurate with our teams play.
You can well imagine how much has been consumed in recent years.
To quote the Ole Miss fans about their famous Grove, “We may not win the game, but we never lose the tailgate“.
The grove is awesome

I don’t think taking a boat to a game makes anyone a moron. I’d love to do it sometime.
me too. I'd love to have Capt Lee from "below deck" to drop me off at the slip for a game. Just have the biggest boat that blocks out the sun.

That show is pretty funny.
seems like everybody on the crew is having sex. And in very cramped quarters so everyone hears what they’re doing. Just like the old Dorm days in College. Good times.

They're professionals that act like teenagers...too much drama. But they see some beautiful places in the world.

This pic is where "moran" originated, circa 2003:

There are no slips, boats tie up to one another and extend out into the river. The larger boats mostly dominate, but there is almost always a tie up line for smaller boats too. Everyone is friendly, from all walks of life. You almost have to be, the only way to get to land (other than swimming) is by climbing over boat after boat. It's good though, don't let that deter, I definitely recommend anytime you can. The only time I hesitate is late games, a bit challenging.

Do any of you morans take a boat to games? Do you know if there are any limits to size, do they charge for slips, what's acceptable as far as behavior (moonshine or no?). When you go, do some of y'all stay and watch on your boat?
I went two times and too many drunks and had issues. Wildlife does not control it.

Normally, the Vol Navy is made of high class people. A lot of them stay on their yachts and watch the game as they party. I’m not for sure how you reserve a spot. As far as boat size...size matters 😁. The bigger the better. As far as I know, boats just tie up to each other

I’ve been a few times on a 52’ Hatteras. Pretty sure there were others still bigger. As described by Ahice above, there are no slips or fees. Just show up and tie up. Everyone is nice as long as you’re not being a jerk or doing stupid stuff with your boat. I would say a lot of folks stay and party on the boats that have AC and TVs. There’s always groups that decide to go into the game too.

The above is the info you seek, OP. Find a row of boats similar in size to yours, and line up your swim platforms (if you have one). Good idea to bring a rug/astroturf for people to step on, because you will collectively construct the walkway, as there will be no dock.

One thing to be mindful of is that leaving can be a bit of a madhouse. Some boats may take off early, requiring them to pull the other boats back together as they break up the line. I would feel more secure if at least one person remained on/with the boat during the game. If you don't have TV, someone around you will, for sure.
