My mom got me the fake Keds at Kmart.
My wife and I were just recently trying to explain the Kmart blue light special, to our kids and they just looked at us like we were crazy!😂
When you heard “attention Kmart shoppers...” you better be quick and know your way around Kmart, because mom or grandma would leave you in the dust when that blue light special was announced. Grandma was like Usain Bolt when those blue lights started flashing!!😂

So I was wasting time watching old vol highlight films from the 60's and it got me thinking about how no one wore orange to the games back then. Even in the 70's it didn't seem like much of a thing.

Got me wondering when did fans start wearing their team colors? It seems like it all just started happening across all sports at around the same time.

Figured some of you oldies might have some interesting input.
Those were my days and we did wear orange and white to every game. Had several jerseys and caps. Even when I was a teen it was the same. You could buy game worn jerseys at stokely during basketball season. Wore those too. Not sure how you came to the conclusion that we didn't wear the colors back in the day. My mother even had an orange dress and purse for game day.

My crowd and I wore everything orange and white we could get our hands on, starting in the mid-1970s. Trouble was there wasn’t much to choose from — not many manufacturers. Very few sports-only retailers and nothing online of course. Our biggest get in those days was a pair of white Adidas sneakers with the three orange stripes down the side. That was a big deal and hard to find at first.
My first Adidas sneakers. Seems like they were around $16. About twice the price of a pair of Converse low tops.
