Not sure I agree that it lacks excitement. We certainly do our best to keep the other team in the game when we should be stepping on their throats and ending any hope they have. HA!

But I understand the disappointment, especially with the South Carolina loss. Injuries or not, our team should have been able to beat Muschamp by 14 points. That game joins last year's UF loss and the loss to Vandy during Coach Jones' first season that kept us out of a bowl as inexcusable defeats.

The injuries have made a difference but we definitely have not lived up to our potential. Luckily, there's more football left to play and the Vols can finish strong. I'll be at the Missouri game next week! GO VOLS!

The ugly reality is the defense has been gutted. The effort was there today, but the drop off in talent is glaring. The offense must be sharp and aggressive and score a lot of points to win out.

Bama will steam roll them

If you cannot find excitement in a Tennessee win, you Should probably check your Vol Card at the door! Butch is not the program, he is not who we all grew up cheering for, not why we are all fans, not why our blood runs orange.

the fact that people totally ignore this fact and instead insert stupid crap like next man up amazes me. Next man up works like the first guy that quoted you said like 3 or 4 starters.. but when you are digging down to 3rd and 4th string at certain positions and converting multiple guys to new positions its a different story.

JJ took a snap at DB... think about that guys.

I get it. Other than against TN Tech we haven't played a complete game this season. We all had such high expectations, and here we are, not even ranked. It's hard to get excited knowing even if we win out,and make it to Atlanta, we will likely get embarrassed again by Bama. Nobody wants that. The injuries have killed us, so I don't put it all on the coaches. I watch this team, even in a big win today, and see so many mistakes and lack of fundamentals and wonder..,,

Has everyone forgotten what it was like 4 yrs ago? A lot of people want the prize but are unwilling to put in the time CBJ IS putting in his time. Hang in there, injuries and the whole JH thing have hurt this ur. And as far as exciting we won who gives a 💩

The bulk of our schedule isn't "expected" wins... unlike those big 10 "powerhouses" I mentioned... you don't see them with Alabama, A&M, Florida, Georgia (most years pretty good)...

Seriously, get a grip or call a hotline. No one is thrilled with a season unless it ends in a natty but only one team gets that and it will not be us this year.
