Vol Fans Winning

What exactly do we want at this point. I am still holding out for a home run hire. Maybe now we will get one?

LOL....what coach in their right mind is going to want to come to a place where backstabbing and sabotage seem to be the tactics of the day?

I sure do.

You seem to be saying the sports media -- which has no investment in UT -- should dictate how we govern our affairs.

Vol Nation says: "No". And it's working.

Once again, try sticking to what I said.

Maybe you should try a little honesty.

So again i ask, what exactly is it that WE want?

I'll take the bait. WE just want a coach that can put a competitive team on the field. WE haven't had that in a long time. WE have the resources to do that. Why are WE unable to get that accomplished? WE need to figure that out and fix it.

Count my stars?

That was a good laugh!

Tell us what badges you have earned little Johnny. Mommy must be so proud.

This sense of message board status entitlement does not speak well for UT fans.

Well, this is what I've wanted for a week:

Schiano gone.
Currie gone.
Haslams exposed.

How am I doing?

You're an old establishment slug, preferring boiler-room incompetence over transparency and accountability.

Tennessee has set the bar high for everybody to follow.

This is accurate. I keep telling people that we are all paying for top shelf liquor and it's high time the establishment give us what we are paying for. In the real world I would take my business elsewhere, but the establishment preys on our loyalty. I could never root/pay for another school and they know this. I can walk away from all NCAA sports though and funnel my time and money into a new hobby.

The average fan doesn't know it, but even the mid to upper level boosters have had it with the way things are going. There is a war going on outside of us little guys on a message board and it was long overdue.

Yep. My Alma mater looking like a clown show is absolutely what I was hoping for. This has been great, I feel like a real winner.

Ok cool, if what we want isnt football related, why are WE encouraging fans to revolt against Brohm, Doeren, Morris etc?

Hey boss, did we revolt against Brohm? I thought it was only the later two and not really even the third. It's moving too fast to just check in every few hours!!!

I think that speaks to what UT fans really want.

This does seem to be a problem at the top. As an old saying goes: "The fish rots from the head down.".

There are many ways to accomplish that. In today's war via social media, most everyone ends up looking childish.

I think most UT fans do not want to be represented in this fashion. I believe that most will let their money talk.

The real issue right now that we haven't taken care of yet is how to get Davenport out of the equation. Haslam can be handled maybe, but she is still the SJW Snowflake that is melting on the coaching search parade.

Consider me dense, but it appears you're more worried about public perception than outcome.

Please correct me.

I can't remember the username for the poster, but I believe he was correct.

This is a necessary fight. Because of that, in a long term view, this is a "win".

However, in the short term (and we're probably talking several years here), there will be a price to pay for this fight.

The other problem is.....you don't know which side will win the fight which means....it could still be a long term problem if the wrong side wins.

Vol fans aren't winning though. You have an incompetent administration that's embarrassing itself over and over publicly. No "home run hire" is coming to that school after the Schiano thing. Toxic situation.

This is truth. I can pull for other teams because I wind up pulling for other teams every time I watch a game, I always or nearly so have a team I want to win or lose. I can never wear any other schools logo though. Never. So it's be a casual fan of "football" and have other things to do or whole hog support the VOLS.

Best case scenario is Haslem gets indicted on his Pilot investigation. That would take the biggest problem out of the equation.

Currie gone is only a small step. The joystick behind all the universities athletic decisions is still out there.

We should have gotten busy 8 years ago.
More brush to clear.
At least we've started.
[Boy, have we started.]

I have corrected you.

You are immature in your thought process if you believe there is an either/or between outcome and public perception.

You may only know how to feel like you have won if you try to think you have spoken for an entire group, claim that you impacted what has already been done, and create false arguments to win.

The reality is that a desired outcome can be had without childish tactics.

How is this winning? The cost of this search is over $13M without a coach, there seems like there is no stability in the AD, and every coach is going to use this against UT in recruiting. Last night there was a quality coach close to taking the job and today there is what?
