Those of you who remained in your seats right up to the bitter end--THANK YOU! No, I wasn't there, I watched the game on TV. But I want you to know you reinforced my notion of what a Vols fan is supposed to be. Someone who even in the worse of times doesn't abandon his team. Rather appreciates the fact they worked hard to make it possible for us to have a team. And a team that went out in the face of huge disadvantages and kept playing. Undermanned to begin with, losing key players in key positions via withdrawals prior to season start, injuries, and conduct of $naky agent$, etc. The next game I attend, if it goes bad for us, I will remember I'm not alone in remaining right up to the final whistle. I will remember you guys. THANK YOU!

It was an honor to be able to stay until the bitter end and show the team that we are behind them in good times and in bad. Even went down onto the field afterwards to take some pics.

Autzen is very loud for a smaller stadium. They do an "Ooooh!" cheer in unison and a meter is shown on the jumbotron that encourages the crowd to amp up the volume. They've developed a reputation over the years for being loud and they seem to take a lot of pride in it.

But I don't think it was anywhere near as loud as Neyland at it's loudest. I've always thought it was highly improbable that a crowd of 58,000 could be louder than a crowd of 108,000. Nothing I experienced yesterday made me rethink that.

Every team has them. Every team. Will be interesting to see what other fans in other locations and contact with Duck fans experienced.

Don't know if you'll come across them, but I helped four Tenn fans find a buyer for some extra tickets they had. Stopped and chatted with another couple Vol fans, good people.

Stayed until the clock read 0:00 in the 4th and will in Gainesville this week too.

Every single Oregon fan I spoke with went out of their way to be courteous.

As far as the noise: it's loud for a small stadium but not close to being as loud as I had expected it to be. With that said there fans are very engaged and I imagine Autzen is probably the best environment in the PAC-12.

I had no problems at all with the Oregon fans around me, although that could have been due to the fact that the hubby is a Duck fan and is 6'4" and a solid 285!!
Actually, everyone was great to us, seeing that we were a "house divided"

Loud for 55K but not as loud as advertised. But definitely louder than I've heard Neyland in years.

Not to be rude, but the general conscious is that there wasn't much to be loud about. When you blow a team out before halftime, its not going to be as loud as it could be.
Also keep in mind Oregon fans have been quite spoiled these last four years. We expect to blow a team out like Tennessee. Its not that exciting when it happens.

Ok... For those Vol fans that were there, compare crowd noise of Neyland and Autzen stadiums

Was there until the bitter end. Anyone who thinks that stadium is louder than Neyland, Swamp, Death Valley, The Big House, Sanford, Bama, Jordan Hare.......is an Oregon fan or never been to any of these places.

Not to be rude, but I did ask Vol fans that were there. So enjoy the good times now, for what goes around comes around!!

The final category is my own personal grade. I have 12 TV’s in front of me and watch 12 games all day long on Saturday and watch every nighttime game on ESPN. I can hear the crowd noise at each stadium and I weigh in how many times I thought it was a factor in a game. I look at how good the team has been the last 5 years and what percentage of games they win at home and on the road in my personal evaluation.

After that evaluation, I only gave two teams a 5.75-point home edge in this year’s magazine in Boise St and Oregon. Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Virginia Tech and LSU have a 5.5 grade while Oklahoma St, South Carolina, Ohio St, Alabama, Nebraska and Florida got a 5.25. At the bottom of the scale I gave a 1.75 home edge to Georgia St and a 2-point home edge to Massachusetts, Eastern Michigan, New Mexico St, Akron and Idaho.

Here are all my 2013 Homefield edges for all 126 Teams.

oregon fans ya'll can go back to your board now. enjoy these years!

Thank you! However being that I currently live in Alabama, I think I have an opinion on SEC schools. In fact, I lived here when Auburn beat my Ducks for the National Championship so I have earned the right to comment on the SEC. This is a great board and I will be here for awhile.

Don't care. Didn't read. I've been to all the stadium's that I mentioned and Autzen isn't even in the same stratosphere.

And just keep in mind, Oregon has about as many all time wins as Kentucky. Keep it real.

All time wins? What does that have to do with anything? Don't be bitter bro.

meh Autzen really wasn't that loud yesterday, maybe it was the students not being in school, maybe it was because Vol fans were 10% of the crowd. :salute:

Props to all the UT faithful and thanks for the boost to the local economy, we needed it. :hi:

Haha, yea, that's why I stated it was a blowout. How exciting is that? But what bothers me is......its like saying, "The Patriots are overrated. They are good, but I have seen better. Tom Brady? Ehh, he was ok, but I watched Montana, Young, and Cunningham and they were way better". Get Autzen going in a close game against a ranked team and it will become unreal.

Well it doesn't mean anything to Oregon fans because you've only been good for about 10 years. Its all good. Enjoy your team.

Yea ok. So in 1998 you guys were awsome! Hell, I was rooting for ya all! But don't try to pretend that matters in 2013. I guess I look at it different. Because of graduation, every year is different in college football. To me, who cares what happened last year. Its a new year and new players. So ok, hey, that's awsome 15 years ago you won the National Championship! But it means NOTHING today.

How would you know? You've never experienced it. That tradition has bought us what Nike has bought you. Do a little research bro. Every win matters.
