Vol Fans, when we make the next hire...

I’m not gonna protest Brohm if he’s hired. I see no reason to. I do not believe he is the best candidate but he is infinitely baggage free compared to Schiano.

I will support him if he’s hired. Until I’ve seen enough to know to no longer support him. And then I’ll call for his head. In other words just like every other P5 coaching hire should be.

If you want to protest in Texas, that won't be such a big deal. It might get you the death penalty, but oh well......

I doubt anyone would protest Brohm. However, I do think its just vanilla hire. I am sure that he is a fine coach, but I don't think his motivations for taking the job are to compete with the big boys. I view this as a payday for him.

Kiffin all but made his case for a comeback and we know he wants to truly needle and beat Saban...

Haslam can't get any dirt on Kiffin and thereby control him. That's the chief reason Currie won't talk to him. Bet you a dollar!

It is well known Brohm wants the ND or Louisville job. Soon as he gets those opportunities be will leave. TN is setting itself up for failure again. But that is the TN way

The next coaching contract should make it to expensive for the coach to up and leave. The B/O should be a percentage of one year's salary, on the university side.

Calm down. We'll be alright.

Where have I heard this before?

Oh that's right every coaching search the past 10 years. And where are we? Worse off than before each time.

It is not going to be alright.

Far from it. Tennessee should burn for the arrogance and stupidity of those that run it.

The last time these two met Alabama kicked a FG to beat TN by 3. As the two coaches went to midfield to shake hands it's been reported Lane told Saban this will be the last time you will ever beat me. Now, don't you want a coach that has a fire in his belly to stand up and say that to someone like Saban? And to the whole SEC community. WOW! And Currier won't even talk to him. Go figure.

Has Mike Leach not been contacted by Currier? Currier doesn't like the fact that Leach sued Texas Tech. Are we looking for a strong coach that can WIN in the SEC or a social worker?

When all of this is said and done, one thing needs to come out of all of this and I hope the President of UT and the Board of Trustees fire John Currier and his sidekick Davenport.

With the news that the Brohm deal might be close to happening. This goes for any hire we make at this point that doesn't have some MORAL issue.

We CANNOT protest this hire. If we do, it will be detrimental to our football program. Our image will be tainted for a while, we could become untouchable.

I am all for spreading your voice and voicing what coach you want as the hiring process is going on, but after this next hire, please support the coach. If you don't want to buy tickets, that is fine, but don't make a huge public scene.

That's all.

I will protest anyone I find unacceptable and I will not support a coach that I think is bad for the program.

I don't want Brohm, but he's not someone I would cause a scene over. I could give him a chance if we are stuck with him... But I would not have much patience with him. If he's not at least in the hunt for the East by Year 2, the "Fire Brohm" movement will begin.

Not First Choice and not even 5th choice but.....

MAJOR improvement over Sgt Carter!!

.

This, all day and again tomorrow. We'll finally have a coach, not a snake-oil salesman masquerading as a coach.

No problem with Brohm other that he lost to Butch. But I do have a problem with Currie and HOH. Brohm isn't the best coach available that would take the job. We are getting hosed and you want to accept it? Kiffin is the best possible hire by a long shot and would crawl back to Knoxville. but pride is getting in the way.
I'll take the ban hammer for this one

Sorry, but I couldn't get behind that Penn State hire...

Brohm may be good here... lets give him a shot. Seems like he might fit - certainly have some energy we need
