When Lundquist and Danielson related their feeling that the Tennessee fans just didn't have faith in their team and the fact that they could not win the game it made me want to puke! I am on this forum everyday and am sick and tired of all the negativism. . .I guess it has permeated the entire Knoxville area.

We all have a right to question coaches and players and the rehashing of the games is what makes being a college football fan so much fun. I am amazed at how brutally negative so many people are. Being from Penn State, I have seen some pretty nasty stuff directed at Joe Paterno the last five years but I don't read all the "junk" on the Penn State blogs that I read here and on other UT sites. Believe me, UT fans do not want to win any more than Nittany Lion fans do.

Still love it here though. . .so many of you are very very knowledgable. . .being positive is much healthier than calling for Fulmer's head and trashing a quarterback that has started three games! It will get better!

Go Vols!

You're asking everyone to be unrealistic about the situation and be positive. Sorry, reality wins.

Paterno needs to go and so does Fulmer. Open your eyes man.....some people act like the Captain of the Titanic.

This thread is ridiculous. We have every right to vent and be negative at the manure we watched today. It's hard to be positive about our beloved program these days.

Hey Pilot, I'm sorry to say this, but I don't know if you have been watching the same program I have the past 8 years. This has gotten out of control and is going nowhere but downhill. Honestly, it will not get better. I have never been the negative type, but this is the truth as hard as it is for me to say.

That's because Pennsylvania isn't really a college football state, and mediocrity is acceptable with them.

Sure they want to win, no one wants to lose, but they are in the Big-10, no big deal, and it's not close to the same.

I think Fulmer has submitted his application for the ranks of Paterno and Bowden...

The Booing at half was pretty bad today. REALLY loud. Loudest I've heard. I don't really have a problem with booing... but it really made it look like we were booing Crompton after he threw the INT in the end zone.

I'm all for booing the coaches.. but just the way Crompton and some of the player walked into the locker room, I'm sure some of em took it like it was towards them (which some of it was - had a few drunk (and sober) fellows around me cussing at Crompton, hoping he dies, etc - was disgusting). The booing was warranted - although I didn't because it didn't feel right since there's no real way to single out the coaches... just felt like it was towards everyone.

I know when I was at UT (turn of the millennium) there was no booing... ever. There would be sporadic booing for really bad calls (Sander's patented run run pass punt) but that's it.

It started with a core of fans and it's now spread out across any Vol fan that has an operating brain. We're not even remotely competitive in games anymore... and I think that's the cement block that broke the proverbial camel's back.

I will never boo. A fan should never boo their team. However, I am very adiment about Phil leaving.

And if a General kept flying you into a guarantied suicide mission would you not voice concern after awhile?

B-17 Pilot, help! The UT football program just went into a stall, with Captain Phil in the cockpit.

You want me to show a positive attitude? Okay. I'm feeling really good that UT's program is VERY quickly heading down the path to finally canning Fulmer and obtaining a competent head coach.

The truth is that the only way for fans to voice their displeasure at a game is to boo. We can't call up Johnny Crompton on his cell and ask him nicely not to throw into double coverage for the 480th time, or send John Chavis a nice letter detailing how he needs to teach our defense proper tackling technique, we can only boo and hope they understand that they need to get their crap together.

I hate booing, I wish I never had to do it, but no matter how you sugar coat it some of the boos today were warranted. And the day there are no boos is the day I'm really worried, because that will be the day that no one cares and underachieving teams are accepted at UT.
