You are just plain wrong.YOU are the worst kind of fan. We are four games into the season. We can still win the SEC. You have given up. You are the loser. The guy who started this post is right. Let the season play out then voice your complaint. If this truly is your team you would support it no matter what, then at the end of the season the coach is held accountable. I wish you didn't cheer for the Vols, you just bring us down.

YOU are the worst kind of fan b/c you settle for mediocrity year after year and after every season you say "well maybe next year we will be better, once the talent develops."

Not so much, man. It aint happenin' with this staff. Face it, its over. This era has got to come to an end, we havent won a SECCG in almost 10 years. Why are you contempt with winning 8 and 9 games a year that is my question. I dont understand. 8 and 9 games gets us what? A crappy bowl game to lose to teams like Penn State? Why? The players dont care, and that needs to change.

The major thing about this board, is everyone that is complaining...

Has been watching this team slowly languish. Predictable playcalling on both Offense and Defense. Nothing about this season will undo the simple fact that UT has been on a decline for the past 5 years, minimum. Under Fulmer, the team rarely shows up for big games. If Stoerner didn't fumble, we'd never have won the SEC championship. I'm also sure that if FSU had their starting QB in the Nat'l. Champ game, they'd have won. I hate admitting these things, but nothing really is worse than blind faith. I love UT. I've been going to games since I was 10. It's not a matter of faith, it's a matter of faithful fans wanting their team to stop struggling. No matter HOW anyone swings it, we still lost very very badly at UF. How do you defend that or any of the major games that UT hasn't shown up at? How is it possible to defend any of the "record vs. ranked teams" or "bowl game record" stats that have been thrown around? We won on blind luck, and almost never have convincing wins.

Dude, I honestly don't think you ever read and comprehended what I posted in here. It was like we were each talking to ourselves.

Glass houses, man. Glass houses.

If Vader runs you off, you simply don't belong!:eek:lol:

Don't get me wrong it's been fun to watch. But, it's also kind of frustrating. I know everyone has a right to say what they want and how they feel, and that's the whole purpose of this board.

I do get mad when I see us play below our expectations, I get mad when I see the same play after play after play. I know how everyone who wants Fulmer out feels.

But as of right now, our coaches and players are the Tennessee that we love. The same team we can't wait to watch every Saturday, and the team that we impatiently wait to watch again Dec. to Aug.

The bashing of our players and coaches need to stop. Yes, criticism of playcalling, tackling, etc. will continue. I am plenty guilty. But the negative comments, making fun, and bashing of our team helps nothing. I've been around Kentucky fans my whole life, no matter how much they sucked, and at one time was worse than Vandy, they kept a straight head on their shoulders. Look at them now. Even though this time next year they will be 1-3.

We will bounce back. We will get back to Tennessee football that we all love.

Go Vols!

Are you really Phil Fulmer posting on this site?:)

If UT had won every game in 05' we would have been National Champs.

I want Fulmer gone as much as you. But I refuse to take away anything from the 98 Championship. Football games are won every week by so called "Lucky Breaks". It's what you do when luck breaks your way that counts. When Stoerner fumbled, Tennessee still had to march down the field and score. With FSU's QB out, Tennessee still had to score points on FSU's great defense. We could "IF" every single game ever played. So just bacause you don't like Fulmer or the direction of the program, don't discredit the success we've had in the past.

You know they wanted to fire Bear Bryant after two sub-par 6-6 seasons they didnt and the bammers got 3 championships in 4 years or it might of been 3 in a row.

Now I know theres not much a chance Fulmer pulls something like that off but he is gonna catch hell no matter what at Tennessee win or lose and that goes for whoever replaces him.

I dont think any coach in America could lead Tennessee to Nat'l title in the next 10 years. Anybody dreaming about Cowher, Gruden or any other established coach from the NFL is out of their mind it will be a Tom Callahan type. The dude at Cincy might be able to pull it off but he got a better chance at Nat'l Title in the Big East so he probaly wont leave.

I almost want Fulmer to finish the season at a mediocre 8-4 this year just so I can revel in the Fulmer bashers disdain when he is back next year.

Look football is a simple game. All Tennessee has to do is copy LSU & USC get the ball in their best players hands & block.

As for the D they'll do better tommorrow because they dont have to deal with the ever confusing Spread/ and Spread Option.

And if we lose tomorrow I dont want to here a bunch of tasteless chants...the writing is already on the wall & Fulmer knows it so does Hamilton

A: Thanks for clearing up the fact regarding who invented the maxim that you should always "get the ball in the best players hands & block". Wasn't aware that LSU & USC were the authors of said football wisdom.

B: The D should be ready for any offense presented to them. The miracle of technology gives us video evidence of what the next opponent might do so we can prepare for it.
Coaching is of utmost importance. Thank you for your participation.
