Not very well. I consider myself to be a casual fan and many of the questions are easy to say the least. They always screen anyway!
It’s always been state run radio so what would the hurt be not taking calls pre or post game? They won’t let anybody ask any legitimate questions. Not very well. I consider myself to be a casual fan and many of the questions are easy to say the least.
Tyler and Will (WNML) say they don't take calls anymore either. Listeners have to text.
I have to wonder -- if they cancel Vol Calls, can the football pregame and postgame be far behind?

'Vol Calls' not returning after 35 years as Tennessee football coach's weekly radio show
"Vol Calls" is no longer part of the Vol Network's Tennessee plans as the network announced its programming for the 2025 Vols football season.www.tennessean.com
The longtime call-in show featuring Tennessee coaches fielding questions from fans will not be part of the revamped Vol Network lineup as it seeks to pair live programming with on-demand availability to meet fans' changing content needs.
“The way to better serve Tennessee fans is to try to do things in a way where they have more access and they have more availability, while helping our coaches," said Mike Keith, the new "Voice of the Vols."
UT and Vol Network announced on Aug. 7 the lineup for the 2025-26 season, which includes "The Mike Keith Show" from 3-5 p.m. ET on Thursday nights with Keith and coach Josh Heupel during football season. Fans can submit questions via UT's social media accounts to the show, which will run from Aug. 28 through May 1

Can't believe it lasted as long as it did. Honestly, I'm surprised any "coach's shows" still exist. They were made during and for a time when you couldn't watch every game on TV, or couldn't catch every coaching press conference.
"I don't know...gotta go back and watch the tape. We'll work like heck to get it corrected"It's unbelievable how much time I wasted a young kid trying to learn more about football and hearing Fulmer (he did not drink but was just so tired) sound hungover going "yeah you know that was a good ball from Erik and Meachem' ran a good route" or Bob trying to get something "That was a good play by Mayo there" and Fulmer just going "yeah it was a nice tackle by Jerod".
