'Vol Calls' not returning

The problem is the engagement is with about 5 fans who just want to be on the radio. It provides no real info.
We aren’t ever going to get any real info. About the only real info any team in any sport ever gets is if you win the championship, people will talk a bit more freely in that case. If you do get real info, it’s stuff like the Giants GM saying Saquon Barkley is washed and the owner saying he will not be able to sleep if the GM is wrong.

What would be interesting is if they did Vol calls and have theme nights.

For example:
welcome to Vol calls. our theme tonight are callers who want our head coach to dress nicer and shave because that affects winning percentage. let's get started with our first caller....

Welcome to Vol calls. Tonight we will hear only from fans who want the coach to go into I formation at all times.

Hey fans, welcome to Vol calls. Tonight we get to hear from fans who know how to coach defensive backs better than Willie Martinez. First caller, you're on the air with coach...

It’s tired and outdated

I won’t miss it, but I can understand that some will.

The longtime call-in show featuring Tennessee coaches fielding questions from fans will not be part of the revamped Vol Network lineup as it seeks to pair live programming with on-demand availability to meet fans' changing content needs.

“The way to better serve Tennessee fans is to try to do things in a way where they have more access and they have more availability, while helping our coaches," said Mike Keith, the new "Voice of the Vols."

UT and Vol Network announced on Aug. 7 the lineup for the 2025-26 season, which includes "The Mike Keith Show" from 3-5 p.m. ET on Thursday nights with Keith and coach Josh Heupel during football season. Fans can submit questions via UT's social media accounts to the show, which will run from Aug. 28 through May 1

Pathetic. This is the coaches. Other than Vitello, who is super accessible, these coaches don’t want to talk to anybody. For the kk ye they make, it’s really an insult to the common fan.

The common fan is what made the shows suck ass and nearly impossible to listen to. If fans were required to have an inkling of football knowledge before being allowed to ask a question/make a statement, the show would have had two or three callers per session.

Everybody can feel free to take their pain pills and then call me and ask why we don't ever throw to the tight end
Well we just lost a te who was comitted because we didn't throw to te very much, went to Nc instead. With that said I am fully supportive of Hype as our hc.

I thought all of those callers were John Ward doing different voices. Let’s go back to that. Make AI do something to benefit humanity.

I have literally never listened.
If I listened, I was a young kid. I imagine it was an even more crude form of the Paul Finebaum show.

On second thought, it was a lot like the VN forum, only you had to listen to advertisements between questions/ comments and so few people got through that the questions of any substance were few and far between.
