One thing I've noticed about Butch is he deflects a lot. After the game on Thursday night he was quick to point out to the media in his presser all the coaches from around the country who sent him supporting texts after the game. Tonight he was deflecting to Peyton. I've heard him do that a number of times and maybe deflecting is not the right word but he's petty accomplished at it. I guess if I was in his shoes, especially on Thursday night, before I faced the media, I'd be looking for back up too.
That's just his way of dealing with the mass of ignorant fans in a polite manner--in effect, telling us that those who KNOW have a better perspective than those fans who think they know something when they don't!
